Growing up in Maine, I often took the true beauty of the state for granted. I never paid too much attention to the changing colors of the leaves in fall. The winters were cold, and so I never appreciated the natural beauty of a snow or ice storm. Everywhere I went I was close to some body of water and I became desensitized. Now that I have moved away from my beloved state, I cannot help but think back and appreciate the beautiful place in which I grew up. These pictures give a taste of the vast beauty found in the great state of Maine.
