15 Feelings Of Finals Week
quickmeme

As this school year comes to an end, it's not quite over until finals week. This week of stress, tears and studying is a week from hell if you ask me. With summer right around the corner, getting through it is the struggle.

1. Coffee becomes your best friend

Even if you don't like coffee normally, during finals week it is a necessity. Staying up all night studying and having enough energy to get out of bed the next day is even more of a challenge than normal. Thank God for coffee for helping us all survive.

2. Your brain feels like it is going to explode

When all of those hours of studying catch up to you and your brain feels like its going to explode, that's when you know you need to take a nap.

3. Motivation

It comes and goes, but even minutes of strong motivation can make all the difference during your final.

4. Feeling prepared for an exam

Hours on hours of studying and you finally feel like you're going to kill it on that exam!

5. Then bombing it

You felt so prepared going into it. But once you start reading the first page of it, you're convinced it's for a different class or maybe it's in another language. It's okay it happens to the best of us.

6. Sleep (or lack of)

With days of work and studying still ahead of you, sleep becomes optional.

7.Studying

You do it all the time but during finals week you forget how to study completely.

8. Napping

Even though you're drowning in work you want nothing more than to take a nap. Set some time aside for one or you'll wake up 5 hours later with a book on your face.

9. Trying to read

Reading so much information can fry your brain. It gets harder and harder to remember what you read, so you reread it over and over again.

10.Distractions

You try your best to stay focused but there always seems to be distractions one way or another.

11. Showers

I know you have a lot to do but please do the rest of your classmates a favor and shower. Nobody wants to smell you the whole time they're trying to take their final.

12. It's here before you know it

You feel like you have all the time in the world to study and prepare for your finals- until you realize they are tomorrow

13. Taking a break

You have to take breaks in order to keep your sanity. You promise yourself just one episode, which turns into six.

14. Dress for success

You slept in that outfit? Who cares, wear it to the final, there's no judgement this week.

15. When it's finally over

That week felt like a year but now it's summer!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
