As the fans know, "Game of Thrones" isn't scheduled to air another episode until next season, on July 16, 2017. The travesty dawns on us as we realize our Sunday nights are filled with brooding Jon Snow and gory battles that somehow make us always come back for more.
What about the women of GoT, though? Daenerys Targaryen always shares the limelight with plenty of male characters, but what about the rest? Female characters like Sansa Stark, Cersei Lannister and Arya Stark are empowering role models. What's even better, however, is how awesome they are in real life.
Their lively, hilarious and awkward interviews show just how relatable they are. And trust me, it will make you love them so much more.
1. When Sophie Turner (Sansa) impersonated Jon Snow while singing "Hello" by Adele.
It's hilarious because she actually sounds like him, through fits of laughter of course.
2. Emilia Clarke (Daenerys) actually danced at the end of her audition.
If she couldn't be any cuter, Clarke was jokingly asked to "do a dance" after she auditioned for Daenerys. So she did the funky chicken and the robot.
3. Lena Headey (Cersei) admits that people publicly hate her, but doesn't care.
"I mean I guess it's a compliment. When you're buying a table and someone's like are you that f***ing bitch of [Game of Thrones]?"
4. When Maisie Williams (Arya) helped the NSPCC.
She helped raised thousands for the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children. Even despite her charity work, Mail Online had the audacity to comment on her "braless dress," instead of reporting the actual news.
5. Emilia Clarke got herself stuck to the toilet.
In the Season 1 scene where Daenerys eats a heart, the actress, covered in fake blood, got stuck to the "loo."
6. Sophie Turner lip-synced "Love Me" by Justin Bieber.
In the spirit of impersonations, Turner's awkward rendition of this song is priceless and worth watching multiple times.
7. Natalie Dormer (Margaery Tyrell) fences. And she's really good.
A member of the London Fencing Academy, what can't this gorgeous actress do?8. Lena Headey and Emilia Clarke played Sarah O'Connor in Terminator.
Can we say ... badass? Headey, in the 2008-2009 TV series, "Terminator: The Sarah O'Connor Chronicles," and Clarke in the 2015 "Terminator Genisys."
9. Nathalie Emmanuel (Missandei) was in London's "The Lion King."
Playing young Nala, she was in the original cast at age 10.10. Maisie Williams was never left handed.
Arya Stark in George R. R. Martin's books is actually left handed. However, Williams is right handed. After learning that Arya wasn't, she did everything she could to learn for the show.11. None of them need a man.
Despite Missandei's interest in Grey Worm and Margaery's desire for the crown, the writers definitely don't let the women be dependent.
12. Lena Headey tweets stuff like this.
She really is an inspiration.
13. Emilia Clarketurned down the role of Anastasia Steele in "Fifty Shades of Grey".
She didn't want to participate because of all the nudity. However, I think we've seen a lot of her in GoT ...? Maybe she just didn't want to be seen on screen getting whipped. Understandable.
14. Natalie Dormer literally shaved her head for "The Hunger Games".
That haircut she sports as Cressida, a documentary filmmaker, is real. It's real and she pulls it off.
15. If you look up the GoT women on Google, the first five links rank how hot they are.
Sexism, am I right? At least Emilia Clarke suggested more male nudity on the show. There you have it. The powerful women of GoT, but with Margaery dead and Cersei losing respect, who will be next?
