Every person has a different childhood and what they can remember of it. What I remember is that I was always playing games to help strengthen my mind or just to see if I could actually beat my mom at them. To this day, I still love a challenge and will play Scrabble against my mom or against friends when one of us is ready for a debate. I decided to walk around Nassau Community College campus and see what were the most played board games students were obsessed with growing up. I asked 55 students ranging in ages from 18-30. The top 15 board games listed based on frequency said were:
1. Monopoly
2. Uno
3. Connect 4
4. Operation
5. The Game of Life
6. Clue
7. Risk
8. Scrabble
9. Apples to Apples
10. Checkers
11. Yahtzee
12. Sorry
13. Trouble
14. Scattegories
15. Guess who?
I was not surprised by Monopoly being the top game, especially since that used to be one of my favorites as well. However, there were some games on this list that were a lot lower than I thought they were going to be at first and some that I played that didn't even make the list.
