15 Best Valentine's Day Movies To Watch When You're Single

Feb. 14th is fast approaching and for those of you that will be riding solo, it can get a little upsetting. But not to worry I got you covered. I've come up with the best fifteen movies to watch on Valentine's Day when you are single. There is something for everyone in this list, whether you like tear-jerkers, romantic comedies, or some female empowerment movies. This list is sure to lighten the mood of your lonely Valentine's Day.

1. "Bridesmaids"

This movie is sure to make you laugh out loud, while also realizing sometimes one of the most important loves you will find in your life is your best friend. So grab your bestie(s) and cuddle up together cause this is the movie for you.

2. "The Notebook"

Grab the tissues, you are going to need them. This love story will pull on your heart strings like no other. You will follow the young couple of Noah and Allie until old age. It will show you what true love really means. So when you meet that special someone and he treats you the way Noah treats Allie, he is the one.

3. "The Vow"

Rachel McAdams has done it again. Another tearjerker that you will be fully allowed to ugly cry to in the privacy of your lonely room. Enjoy.

4. "Frozen"

Grab your sisters and keep them close this Valentine's Day. This movie shows that love on Valentine's day or any other day doesn't only come from your significant other, but from your sisters, family or friends.

5. "Legally Blonde"

If you were recently dumped, like Elle Woods in "Legally Blonde," or you don't have a valentine, SO WHAT? This movie shows that you must make the most of every situation and own it. Girl Power.

6. "Forgetting Sarah Marshall"

This movie will not only make you laugh, but will also give you a sense of hope. So you don't have a Valentine this year, well there is always next year! There is plenty of fish in the sea, you just have to find the right one.

7. "500 Days of Summer"

Much like your Valentine's Day this year, this romantic comedy doesn't have the happy ending you had in mind. But it will still make you smile.

8. "The Longest Ride"

Cowboy. Scott Eastwood. Enough said.

9. "Crazy Stupid Love"

This is by far one of the cutest movies ever, it involves friendships, new love, old love, and family plus it makes you laugh. And you never expect the ending.

10. "Clueless"

As if, I was going to forget this throwback. A funny movie about the love that has been right in front of you all along.

11. "Pretty Woman"

This movie will allow you to be more optimistic about love, I guarantee it. If a millionaire can fall in love with a prostitute, then I'm sure you will find your someone special soon. Patience.

12. "Cinderella"

It wouldn't be Valentine's Day without the most classical love story of all.

13. "Silver Linings Playbook"

Not your average love story, but will surely still bring out your inner hopeless romantic. I mean you have an excuse to let it shine, it's Valentine's Day.

14. "The Proposal"

One of my personal favorites. Highly recommend if you're looking for a good laugh and want an unconventional love story.

15. "10 Things I Hate About You"

We know first hand how crazy young love can be, this movie will help you realize it all over again. If that doesn't convince you, then young Heath Ledger and Joseph Gordon-Levitt should.

Alright, so being single on Valentine's Day isn't ideal, but these movies might help relieve the sting from being alone of the holiday that is centered around being a relationship.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
