Every Christian needs a song that can open your soul to God. In one of my previous articles titled, 15 Awesome Worship Songs I listed and described fifteen Christian songs and described them; I am doing the same here. Check out this list of additional 15 songs to get your worship on! There is nothing better than the joy of Christ in your heart and soul.

1. Love Feels Like by TobyMac ft. DC Talk

This is a contemporary Christian song, and it will blow you away with its powerful message. I cannot get enough of it. In fact, every time I listen to this song I literally sing from the top of my lungs and my body cannot stay still. It’s hard to not go crazy for God with this song.

4. It Is Well with My Soul by Audrey Assad

This is the classic song that probably almost every Christian has heard at least once. Audrey Assad’s voice is so soft and soothing with these peaceful lyrics that you are sure to feel God’s peace in your heart. This song’s lyrics mean so much to me that words alone cannot describe their effect on me. Anytime I am stressed or going through a storm and I need Jesus’ peace and reassurance, this song helps me connect with Him. Jesus uses this song as a bridge to giving me peace and relief during my troubles in this world.

3. Get Up by Blanca ft. Lecrae

This is another contemporary Christian song; it is extremely upbeat. This song represents encouragement to “get up” and do God’s will instead of hanging back from His will to use you. Anytime that I am afraid to do something that I know Jesus wants me to do, He always reminds me of this song as His encouragement for me.

4. Thy Will by Hillary Scott & The Scott Family

For when you are going through a storm, this is the song to go to, and the feelings and words that Jesus gives through this song leaves me speechless. It’s a prayer that I send up to God when I am tired and I need to surrender what's bothering me to God. This song is also a great reminder of who Jesus is, and that He is all knowing and in control.

5. Unstoppable by TobyMac ft. Blanca

This is a fun Christian song that’s all about joy of who we are as Christians. When I am happy in Jesus, this song is a very good pick to mirror that feeling. The lyrics of this song describe us Christians as unstoppable in Jesus. It also talks of how we are not of this world, and that we wait on what is to come.

6. Fall Afresh by Fresh Life Worship

This is a contemporary version of the original classic hymn. I feel as if I am floating in the presence of God when listening to this song. The bridge is the best part in that it talks of how we are to let go of everything and let Jesus "consume" us in all that we are. This piece of music is a blessing.

7. Move (Keep Walkin’) by TobyMac

Full of courage and strength to follow God through the shadow of death is what “Move (Keep Walkin’) is all about. TobyMac refers to Christians as “soldiers” in God’s army. This song reminds us that even when our “prayers ain’t been answered yet” we can still count on God, because He is in control.

8. I will Rise by Chris Tomlin

Powerful words consume this song. This piece talks of how Jesus has overcome the world and that in the end Christians will rise when Jesus calls. It’s a beautiful song of hope and praise. The days of no sorrow and pain are near for us when we get to heaven.

9. One Thing Remains (Your Love Never Fails) by Jesus Culture

The title of this song says it all. Jesus is the same now and forever, and He will never change. His love for us will never change. This song is a great reminder of that.

10. Stand by Britt Nicole

It may be tough to keep our faith sometimes, but Jesus is enough. This song mentions the importance of faith and how it’s an ongoing battle. Through it all, Britt Nicole sings that she will “stand” through all the doubts and struggles with Jesus. Britt goes on to sing that “this battle will be won,” because her eyes are on Jesus.

11. Wonder (Spontaneous) by Bethel Music & Amanda Cook

The lyrics of this song touch me in that I can never truly describe how. This is a contemporary Christian song that describes the importance of coming to the Lord like a child in wonder and amazement.

12. Even Unto Death by Audrey Assad

Professing faith and loyalty to Jesus is the core of this song’s meaning. Jesus is described as “lover of my soul” throughout the song. God’s presence is always evident through this song if you are a follower of God. As the song says, “even unto death” I will love Jesus.

13. Here’s My Heart by Lauren Daigle

Even the title of this song is a powerful message in itself. The Lord is described as the “light breaking through.” The lyrics represent relief and surrender to God completely. The feeling of worship is always alight in this song for me.

14. Pieces by Amanda Cook

I feel overwhelmed with Jesus’ peace when I hear this song. I actually hadn’t even heard of this song until today as I am writing this article. I just happened to click on this song, and I realize that God has done it yet again. He has left me speechless with His love.

15. Kind by Amanda Cook

I just heard this song today too. I knew from the moment I heard it that I needed to add this to the list. This is such an incredibly beautiful song about God’s kindness and mercy that he has for us. I feel like closing my eyes and just focusing on the peace that is Jesus.
