Wine is the great equalizer. If you're having a party and you don't know what type of drinks to serve, just grab a white and a red and you'll probably be okay. And though everyone has their favorite brand or color, everyone who loves wine knows that some things simply can't be avoided when it comes time for a glass of chardonnay.

1. You've been too lazy to cook dinner, so you sit down with a nice tall glass of red and something out of the cabinet.

2. You've sat down to watch a scary movie with an entire bottle.

3. And you've totally taken that bottle into the bathtub with you as well.

4. After a rough day, you've totally gone looking for that grape comfort.

5. When you have friends over to shoot the hot gossip, the first thing you do is crack open the vino.

6. You've seriously considered buying one of those gigantic novelty wine glasses...

7. And actually using it on a regular basis.

8. You've had a friend tell you that maybe it's time to lay off the rosé.

9. When one of your friends is telling a story that you're secretly judging them for, you've had to plug your mouth with a glass of wine.

10. And you've totally been at a pointless meeting at work that you knew could have been improved with a bottle of wine.

11. You'd never admit it, but some part of you drinks wine because it makes you feel so sophisticated.

12. Your significant other has invited you to watch some variant of "the big game," and you knew you couldn't make it through on their crappy Natty Ice.

13. You know that the best cure for someone throwing shade is an eye-roll and a glass of wine.

14. And you're thankful that you have friends who can enjoy all these struggles with.

Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating.
