Having a close group of friends is the best. Especially in college when you spend pretty much every waking moment with them, a close group of friends becomes more like a strange second family. So much so that you can't actually imagine what your life would be like without them. So here are 12 things that all really close friend groups will understand.
1. You have way too many inside jokes.
So sometimes it might seem like you're all laughing like mental patients over absolutely nothing.
2. Other people get confused when you aren't together.
"Hey wait, where's the rest of them?"
3. You get confused when you aren't together.
If there's a knock on the door you actually count and see who's missing. And if no one is missing, you're completely bewildered by the knock on the door.
4. There's a certain level of weirdness you share that people outside your group just don't quite get.
It certainly makes for some awkward moments when you introduce new people to your friends.
5. Your space becomes their space.
Mi casa es su casa. Even when you didn't really make that offer.
6. You don't even bother trying to look good around them because they've already seen you at your worst.
And let's be honest, they probably have pictures of it too.
7. You binge watch shows together.
If someone decides to move ahead without you, it's practically an insult to your friendship.
8. You've reached a certain level of comfort with each other.
You can happily coexist in your pajamas eating junk food. It happens.
9. You never run out of things to talk about.
Ever. And every time you look away from your phone for five minutes, you have 50 new group chat notifications.
10. You get a lot of advice.
Not all of it is good advice, but eh. Also, there's always one person you know to go to for genuine life advice.
11. You've even sort of settled into your pseudo-family roles.
And you take your different responsibilities very seriously.
12. You trust them with your life even when they give you really good reasons not to.
Really good reasons. A lot of really good reasons.
13. You know you can never stop being friends because they know too many embarrassing things about you.
And they have too many embarrassing photos, and Snapchats, and texts.
14. Not that you would want to anyway.
We're gonna be friends forever.
