14 Signs You're A True San Diegan

San Diego is such an incredible place to live, but you can almost always spot a tourist from a mile away. To show the tourists how to truly live a San Diego lifestyle, here's 14 signs you're a true San Diegan for all the natives out there!

1. You're always up for a spontaneous trip to the beach.

Whether it's early in the morning, or late at night, the beach is always a good idea.

2. Rainbow Sandals are your favorite and most worn pair of shoes.

Rainbow Sandals are pretty much worn all year round in San Diego. They're comfortable, practical, and perfect for the ideal beach goer.

3. We crave Mexican food all the time.

A California Burrito is practically San Diego's finest specialty... how wouldn't someone crave that all the time!? Taco joints are found all over the place -- the sketchier, the better.

4. You know what MB, OB, and PB stands for.

Each one is distinct, and a true San Diegan would know what each one has to offer.

5. You never get tired of Balboa Park.

Balboa Park, the home of happening museums, gardens, theaters, festivals, and scenic photo locations. It's San Diego's No. 1 Landmark for a reason! You never run out of things to do at this park, and that's the very reason why it will never be disregarded.

6. You're a strong supporter of yoga pants, and realize that they can be worn at any time of the day.

Even if you're not a yogi, yoga pants are acceptable any time of the day or night. The San Diego lifestyle is a very relaxed and effortless one... and yoga pants fit right in to it.

7. Fashion Valley and UTC malls are your most visited shopping centers.

The crazy traffic can be irritating, but all the quality stores found here, make it worth the while.

8. You enjoy having brunch in places like Downtown, La Jolla, North Park, or Hillcrest.

If you're going for an urban feel, you head to Downtown. If you're going for something fresh and healthy, you'd know to hit up La Jolla. And of course, if you're in the mood for a hip and trendy place... you'd head to North Park or Hillcrest.

9. You pull out your pair of Uggs as soon as the weather hits 60 degrees.

Even though East Coasters will probably be amused by this... you can't blame a city that hardly gets weather that's under 70 degrees!

10. You were "too cool for school" at one point in your life.

I'm pretty sure you once chose the beach over school... whether it be a trip after class... or during... I mean can we really be blamed?

11. In n Out is always appropriate.

In n Out is life. 'Nough said.

12. Hikes are a big deal.

Considering all the food joints San Diego has to offer... we obviously like to take time to burn off all that... greatness. We also, can't forget to mention the "obligatory hiking pictures." If you didn't take a picture -- it didn't happen.

13. You're in to water sports.

It'd be foolish to say that everyone in San Diego knows how to surf... however, I think it's safer to say that a good group of San Diegan's have either played some type of water sport, or simply enjoy being in the water.

14. You love bonfires.

There are no limits when planning a bonfire. They're perfectly suitable all year round. It's a great way to sit back, make memories, and appreciate all that our beautiful city has to offer.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
