At most schools, psychology is one of the biggest departments. For some it's the major you picked because your advisor said to you, "you need to pick a major or else you won't graduate on time" or because you actually like psychology and have a interest for how the mind works. But for all psych majors you can all relate to these 14 things.
1. When you tell someone you are a psychology major and they say, “so you’re going to be a psychologist?”
NO, there are tons of things you can do with a psych major, NOT just being a psychologist!!
2. People always assume you are analyzing them.
Nope, we really aren’t. We don’t have time for that.
3. But at the same time we do psychoanalyze ourselves, our family, and close friends.
4. With that being said, you self diagnose yourself all the time.
5. And then your freak yourself out with said self diagnoses.
Which is exactly what your professor tells you NOT to do.
6. People come to you for advice because they think you know everything there is to know about the human psyche.
Guess what, no one really does, so what makes you think I do?
7. People assume it’s the easy major.
8. You totally and completely understand APA format.
9. You are a boss at statistics.
10. You have battled with SPSS all too many times.
But by the end of your college career you could do SPSS and Survey Monkey in your sleep.
11. Good luck finding a cute boy to date in the psych department.
12. You love being a part of and taking studies/surveys.
13. Personality tests are literally your best friend
14. You have read more journal articles in your college career then most probably ever will.
For you just to read the article not to use in it your paper.
