College is filled with classes, books, studying, and yes mom and dad parties. College is about experimenting and finding out who you are. These are 12 parties every college student goes to while they're finding themselves.

1. The Darty

Otherwise known as a day party. These parties happen when the weather is hot and you just want to cool down. What better way to do that than go down the water slide set up outside whichever frat house is hosting it this week. All you need for this party is a swimsuit and some friends.

2. The Costume party

These most often fall around Halloween. Who doesn't love dressing up as your favorite TV character or as an animal? Everyone loves going to these parties dancing and trying to guess who the attractive vampire really is.

3. The Rave

These parties involve you buying the brightest shirt you can find, painting your face, and dancing the night away with your best friends while the black light shines.

4. Tailgate party

Everyone loves football season and there is no better way to make college memorable than to get ready for the big game with all your closest friends. Get some corn hole, your favorite snack, and some drinks and settle in to watch your favorite team take a W.

5. Jersey Night

For this party, all you need is your favorite jersey and you will be ready to go. You can dance the night away, and it's an easy conversation starter asking the attractive person in the corner wearing the Kyrie Irving jersey if he's happy about the trade to Boston.

6. Beach themed

Go to goodwill, buy the coolest looking Hawaiian shirt, and get ready to get sand in your shoes and take pictures beside blow up palm trees. Also, get your dance moves ready for this luau.

7. Holiday party

This party will help get you in the holiday spirit. Go buy a Santa hat and try and convince one of your friends to be your elf. This party will be filled with holiday cheer and be the perfect send-off as you prepare to go home for winter break.

8. 70's party

This party might demand you going home to raid your mom's closet and get those bell bottom jeans she has locked away for a "special occasion". Put on some tie-dye and get ready to throw up your peace signs for all your pictures.

9. New Year's party

Everyone loves getting dressed up and talking about their new year's resolutions while watching the ball drop with their closest friends. This party is sure to get you excited for your upcoming year.

10. Super Bowl party

Get a jersey for who you're rooting for and get ready to watch the best game of the year with all your friends! Hopefully, your home team is playing and winning for this to really be a good night.

11. Skiing in Aspen

Drag out your winter clothes for this one! Buy some earmuffs and ski poles and get ready to dance the night away. Hopefully, it's not too hot outside so you don't melt in your puffy coat!

12. 90's themed party

Now all you have to do is raid your closet from middle school. These throwback jams are sure to get you out on the dance floor faster than you can say is that NSYNC playing?!

13. Spring Break

The party that lasts a whole week. This one might be college students favorite. Everyone loves going to the beach or an exotic place with their best friends. This week allows you to relax and have a great time without worrying about the finals that are looming.

14. The Send-off party

You're packing up your room and heading home but not before your final hoorah of the year. This party reminds you of why you're so excited to come back next year and do it all again.

All these parties are sure to be a good time, especially with good friends! I recommend going to at least a few to get the full college experience! Most of all, be safe and have fun!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
