Many know her as Kelly Kapoor or Mindy Lahiri OBGYN, but Mindy Kaling is a comedian, author, producer and actor of her own show who's the poster child of grace even while serving one-liners about how hot she is. She's open about her body and the imperfections she, and every other women on this planet, encounter, embracing each one for what it is. Mindy is literally every girl's spirit animal in her books "Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns)" and "Why Not Me?" as they embody every thought millennials have on a daily basis.

Don't believe me? Here are a few reasons you should:

1."I tip great, I try not to swear too much, and I remember to thank people and be grateful."

2. "I'm not married, I frequently use my debit card to buy things that cost less than $3, and my bedroom is so untidy it looks like vandals ransacked the Anthropologie sale section. I'm kind of a mess."

3. "No matter how good you have it, it's cool to want more."

4. "I'm not well dressed but my sweatpants were expensive."

5. "In psychology (okay, Twilight) they teach you about the notion of imprinting, and I think it applies here. I reverse-imprinted with athleticism. Ours is the great non-love story of my life."

6. "A compliment means less if you compliment the thing and not the way the girl is carrying it off."

7. "No one ever wants to hear how stressed out anyone else is, because most of the time everyone is stressed out."

8."... but my secret is: even though I wish I could be thin, and that I could have the ease of lifestyle that I associate with being thin, I don’t wish for it with all of my heart. Because my heart is reserved for way more important things."

9. "One friend with whom you have a lot in common is better than three with whom you struggle to find things to talk about."

10. "If someone really wants to see you, they always find a way. Always."

11. "And the scary thing I have noticed is that some people really feel uncomfortable around women who don’t hate themselves. So that’s why you need to be a little bit brave."

12. "When you are entitled, you are the most insufferable person ever. If you are entitled and hard working, which I am, you are still pretty insufferable, but at least you somewhat earned your entitled behavior."

13. "I'm constantly in a state of self-improvement but I don't beat myself up over it."

14. "Sometimes you just have to put lip gloss on and pretend to be psyched."

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
