More often than not I find myself in painfully embarrassing situations, usually with no way out. Luckily for me, I have had 20 whole years of practice, and have learned how to attempt to play it cool. For those who know me, you will probably read this article, roll your eyes and say that all of these stories are typical things that would happen to me. For those of you who don’t know me... If you find yourself saying "Oops, my bad," "crap," or "only me," quite often, then maybe you can relate. So, here are a few very unfortunate and/or embarrassing things that have happened to me within just the past few weeks.

1. Locked myself out of my car at the gas station… In the pouring rain.

Honestly I have to say this one was not my fault. My friend had just called me to see where I wanted to go to eat and I got so excited at the thought of eating dinner that I locked my car out of habit, and forgot to take my keys with me. After standing in the rain for 30 minutes and having four people ask me if I was okay, mom came to the rescue with a spare key.

2. Fell down the stairs at the gym because it was leg day.

Sometimes leg day just gets the best of you.

3. Had my bathing suit top break in the ocean.

This has actually happened to me on more than one occasion. I had to tie it together with a twist tie. You know the one that comes on the bread bag? Yup that one.

4. Was at work and unknowingly sat in a broken chair. Evidently I fell out of it.

I also broke a desk in high school just because I sat in it.

5. Fell up the stairs at the gym… And at work… And at the store.

This happens to me all the time and pretty much anywhere. I have had so much practice doing this that I have perfected playing it off as if it didn’t happen.

6. Accidentally sent an extremely unattractive Snapchat to a random person from school.

If you haven’t done this... You’re lying.

7. Went to the gym. Ran on the treadmill. Finished my workout. Turned around and realized a pair of my underwear was laying on the floor behind me.

Now, I know what you’re thinking. “How did your underwear fall on the floor, weren’t you wearing it?” The answer is yes I was wearing a pair, but there was another pair that must’ve been stuck to my clothes from the wash and fell off the moment I got on the treadmill. So, yes, I did also walk around the gym with it stuck to me. Then I tried to be casual about it and pretended to stretch so I could pick it up and run away.

8. Was baking a cake and proceeded to drop the eggs, and while trying to catch them (which was a major fail) also knocked over the cake mix, the electric mixer, and the toothpicks.

I don’t even have anything to say about this one.

9. Accidentally sent one half of an email to my boss. Then sent the other half 5 minutes later.

I really hope I’m not the only one who has done this.

10. Was driving to work and spilled coffee all over myself. Then was trying to clean it up and spilled water all over myself.

I have learned not to drink liquids in the car.

11. Was reaching for more french fries but instead managed to spill my mother’s wine on them.

My mom was really mad at me for this one. NO ONE messes with her wine. But, honestly I was mad at myself because I ruined the fries and couldn’t eat any more of them.

12. Walked around with toilet paper stuck to my shoe.

This is just a classic.

13. Fell on the treadmill because my leg decided to give out.

Maybe all these incidents at the gym is a sign that I shouldn’t go anymore.

14. Fell into my pool while cleaning it because I wasn’t paying attention.

I need to be supervised.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
