14 Childhood Activities That Will Never Grow Old

You don't have to be a kid to play like one.

Just because you turn 18 before you've found Neverland doesn't mean you've lost your childhood. Some of the greatest activities on planet earth are considered by many to be "childhood memories" or "kid's activities." Here are 12 activities you will NEVER outgrow.

1. Drawing with chalk.

There's just something to be said for sitting on the driveway and creating elaborate pictures that will be washed away by the next day's rain.

2. Watching Disney movies or cartoons.

Because, let's get real. Disney movies and cartoons will never get old.

3. Ordering off the kid's menu.

The kid's menu is better than the adult menu, anyway. Plus, the prices are way better anyway.

4. Coloring pictures on the kid's menu.

Don't let anyone look down on you for asking for the kid's menu so you can color. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life!

5. Playing hopscotch.

Nothing is more fun fun than jumping in boxes drawn with chalk, hoping to out-hop your friends.

6. Having your parents tuck you in.

You're never too cool for your parents to tuck you in to bed. 'Nuff said.

7. Meeting new people.

Kids have a fearlessness about them (like the pig in this GIF) that enables them to "never meet a stranger." Maybe we in adulthood should learn a lesson or two from them.

8. Trying new foods.

Remember when your mom made you try that food you absolutely refused, only to discover it to be one of your favorite foods? Whether it be beets (as it was for me) or something else, you're never too old to try something new.

9. Going to the park.

There's nothing better than taking a sack lunch to the park and playing on the playground to relieve the stress of real life.

10. Taking a nap.

All those naps you hated as a kid? Take. Them. Back. Every day is a nap day, in my book!

11. Coloring in a coloring book.

And no, I'm not talking about the new "adult coloring book" fad that's currently trending. I'm talking dollar store coloring books filled with princesses, barnyard animals and animated flowers.

12. Going rollerskating.

Putting on shoes with wheels underneath always makes for a fun adventure.

13. Riding a bike.

Remember the feeling of finally learning to ride without training wheels? Get out your bike and ride. Don't let that childhood lesson of bike riding go to waste!

14. "Don't step on a crack..."

"Or you'll break your Mama's back!"

Just admit it. Avoiding all the cracks in the pavement makes walking anywhere far more enjoyable.

There are so many different childhood activities you can do, even as an adult. What were some of your favorites? You are never to old to go back to your roots, so embrace your inner child and have the time of your life! Get out there today and do something you haven't done in years—you won't regret it!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
