Don't be a Scrooge this Holiday season and get in the holiday spirit! Whether it is with your significant other, family, and/or friends, get together and start off this holiday season right!
1. Give back to people in need
This holiday season, try and think about the people who are not as fortunate as you and donate to your favorite charity. My personal favorite during the holiday season is Toys for Tots.
2. Decorate cookies for Santa
Your cookies may end up looking a mess, but I'm sure Saint Nick won't mind. He may just appreciate a little extra milk on the side.
3. Watch your favorite Christmas movies
You can keep it old school with A Christmas Carol or the remake of How The Grinch Stole Christmas, either way you will start to feel the Christmas spirit.
4. Make a gingerbread house
They never really end up looking great, but as long as they taste good that's what really matters, right?
5. Deck your car out in holiday gear
Let everyone know you are in full holiday mode while you are doing your holiday shopping.
6. Listen to some holiday tunes
It doesn't matter if you have had the holiday radio preset in your car since before Thanksgiving, just keeping rolling with it.
7. Drink hot cocoa by the fire
Prop up your feet after a long day of shopping and spend some time with your loved ones.
8. Show off your ugly Christmas sweater at work
I mean, let's be real, you only get to wear them once a year, so you might as well!
9. Sharpen your skates up
Hey! It's the effort that counts!
10. Give Santa a big hug
If you don't get a chance to see the real big guy, head to your local mall to tell Santa what you really want for Christmas.
11. Start a family tradition of cutting down your own Christmas tree
This is a really good way to set aside some time with your family before the craziness of the holidays begin.
12. Give your pooch some holiday swag
They may hate it, but look, how cute!
13. Spend some quality time with the fam bam
At the end of the day, that is what the holidays are all about. Create endless memories and laughs with your favorite people, here are a couple of mine. Shout out to you Mum and Dad, you are the real MVPs.
Remember, holidays are about different customs and the people you surround yourself with. Start new traditions to make your holiday season extra special.
