Unless you're one of those highly caffeinated over-achievers who takes five classes, works two jobs, is a member of six campus clubs, and even has time to take care of their needy pet, the beginning of the semester can get a little dull sometimes. As you're sitting in your room watching "The Office" or playing "Super Smash Bros" all day, you begin to feel that your eyesight is slowly becoming blurry and your brain deteriorating. You want to go out and have fun, but you're already a poor college student and going to the village will inevitably lead to excessive spending. Here are some more fun, active, weird, and mischievous ways to spend your free time without leaving the 5Cs (that are not necessarily any more productive).

1. Slackline At Pitzer.

The most obvious option.

2. Try to climb every climbable tree at the 5Cs.

They're everywhere!

3. Stare at the studio art building at Pomona in awe.

Isn't it beautiful?

4. Get a group of friends to go to the dining hall farthest away from your dorm.

A one hour dinner can turn into a three hour dinner if you try hard enough.

5. Pester the chickens in the Pitzer Garden.

They "love" the attention.

6. Have a picnic in the quad or the mounds and scream early 2000s pop music at the top of your lungs.

Annoying strangers is the highest form of entertainment.

7. Sit in on a random class and pretend you're supposed to be there.

Computer Science at Harvey Mudd is always an enriching choice.

8. Go to a guacamole making workshop in the Pomona Garden.

You get to keep it too!!!

9. Teach yourself to ripstick.

It's the longboard of 2016.

10. Start a business from your dorm.

Back massages, stick-n-poke tattoos, and lemonade stands are all viable options.

11. Conquer climbing the top of Collins dining hall.

Recommended between the hours of 10 p.m. and midnight on Thursdays for the most entertaining view.

12. Pretend you're a tour guide and give tours to the prospective students waiting outside.

Try to make up as much false information as possible for the highest entertainment.

13. Actually start your homework?

Nah, too ambitious.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
