After all, what Disney story does not teach valuable lessons?

"Peter Pan" is a Disney classic. Almost everyone has seen or at least heard of the wonderful story about a boy who refused to grow up. Although the story of "Peter Pan" is an imaginative fairytale, this story consists of many life lessons. These are a few things I've learned from the movie "Peter Pan."

1. Thinking happy thoughts can result in great outcomes.

When Peter says, "Think of the happiest things, it's the same as having wings," he was not joking. Although he was trying to help the Darling children be able to fly, this quote can be applied to everyday life. Thinking positively is a great feeling!

2. Karma is real.

Captain Hook has gotten what he's deserved not only once, but twice. Although some villains will never learn or change their ways, karma will eventually bite them.

3. It's OK to act like a kid sometimes.

The Darlings loved having fun playing in the nursery and exploring Peter Pan's world. Everyone needs to have some fun and act like a child occasionally.

4. But, unfortunately, we all have to grow up eventually.

Wendy, John, and Michael had a lot of fun in adventuring in Neverland, but they ultimately decide they needed to go home. The sad truth is, even though we all need to release our inner child every once in awhile, we can't stop growing up and maturing.

5. Seek adventure.

It's important to be spontaneous and experience places you have never been to before, similar to the Darling children.

6. Even children can be courageous.

Wendy puts on a brave face in front of her little brothers when she is instructed to walk the plank. It's not only adults who have to be strong!

7. Everyone needs a mother's love.

Wendy, John and Michael all end up missing their mother's love and care. Even Peter seeks Wendy to be a motherly figure for him and the lost boys. There's no denying we just need our moms to love and guide us sometimes.

8. Sometimes, all it takes is faith and trust to do extraordinary things.

And perhaps a little bit of pixie dust. But still, without faith and trust, Wendy and her brothers would not have been able to fly!

9. Never go back on your word.

Peter Pan is an honorable character because he never breaks a promise. He gave his word to Captain Hook that he wouldn't fly during their sword fight at the end of the movie. He did just that, and he was victorious!

10. It's important to have loyal friends.

There's no denying that the Lost Boys are the best friends Peter could have. They trust what he says, stick by his side and never throw him under the bus. Everyone needs friends like these!

11. Sewing is an important skill to learn.

Basic sewing skills could come in handy when you least expect it. For example, if you need to fix a hole in your shirt or sew your shadow to the bottom of your shoe -- a needle and thread can work wonders!

12. Girls can become vicious over guys.

Whether it's Tinkerbell or the mermaids angry with Wendy because she is getting all of Peter's attention, jealousy is very noticeable in this film. It's important to note that sometimes people are just mean out of jealousy. Take it as a compliment!

13. You can find happiness by forgetting your fears and getting away.

"Think of all the joy you'll find, when you leave the world behind and bid your fears goodbye." -- "You Can Fly!"

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Whether you met your new love interest online, through mutual friends, or another way entirely, you'll definitely want to know what you're getting into. I mean, really, what's the point in entering a relationship with someone if you don't know whether or not you're compatible on a very basic level?

Consider these 21 questions to ask in the talking stage when getting to know that new guy or girl you just started talking to:

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
