13 Things I Need To Thank My Best Friend's Family For

We all have that one best friend who we’ve known for what seems like forever, and over the years we’ve grown to know not only them but their entire family. They are the family who has helped shape your life in more ways than one and are always there for you no matter what. His or her parents become your second parents, and his or her siblings become your extra siblings. And soon enough, you blend into their family like you were one of their own. You can’t imagine your life without them apart of it and are thankful for them every single day. Although there are countless things I wish I could thank my best friend’s family for, here are 13.

1. Thank you for making me feel like apart of the family as your extra child.

2. Thank you for letting me tag along on countless family vacations.

3. Thank you for buying me a cake on my birthday and surprising me at your house.

4. Thank you for encouraging me to attend my dream university.

5. Thank you for putting up with me during my awkward stage, because we know those were a rough few years.

6. Thank you for taking us places before we learned how to drive.

7. Thank you for adding an extra plate at dinner because you already knew I was staying.

8. Thank you for all the sleepovers topped with donuts in the morning.

9. Thank you for letting me have a key to your house, even if you didn’t know my best friend has given it to me.

10. Thank you for all the memories, some of the best are spent with you.

11. Thank you for inspiring me everyday; you’re some of the most gracious people I know.

12. Thank you for being there for me when life seemed hard.

13. Thank you for giving me the best friend I could have ever asked for.

I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
