The day has finally come. You're all moved into your dorm and are ready to embark on the journey that is college. Looking forward to the football games and late night Insomnia Cookie runs ahead, every freshman feels like college will be just as perfectly scripted and adventurous as those that appear on television shows and movies. As fun and unique as the first few days of college are, there are a few things directors tend to leave out. Here's a list of things that all freshmen experience their first few days of college, that don't always make an appearance in the movies:
1. The awkward silence in the elevator, as you wait to arrive at your floor.

2. Thinking you’ve met someone before, but having mistaken them for someone else.

4. The whole showering situation.

5. Meeting your roommate for the first time if you chose to go "random."

6. The realization of how much walking it takes to get around campus.

7. The mandatory “ice-breaker” games during the first few days.
8. Forgetting everyone's name you’ve met.
9. How much of the unhealthy food in the dining hall you want to eat.
10. Losing all your sense of direction because everything looks the same.

11. Seeing your first "hot college guy."

12. Realizing you can't sleep in all day, and therefore suddenly become tired at 3:00.
13. Knowing that this place will be your home for the next four years.
