For several decades, "Friends" has been a favorite comedy to everyone. And if you haven't seen it, then you are truly missing out. Unintentionally, I have spent many nights staying up just watching this show. It has made me laugh during times when I was feeling down. As I have watched the show more and more, I have come to realize how relatable it is to college life.
1. Food is amazing, especially real pizza.
Let's face it. Dining halls have unlimited amounts of food. It's extremely tempting when you see the endless amounts of pizza slices as well as french fries and ice cream. They become your newest comfort with all the stress of studying. But after so many dining hall meals, you begin to forget how home-cooked meals taste. So when you do order out or go home to your mother's cooking, you learn to appreciate real food.
2. You will not have your life put together all the time.
College is a time when you will be overwhelmed. There are so many things to do between all the studying, club activities, exercising or sports events, parties or just hanging out with friends. You will end up being exhausted from trying to fit everything in until you eventually learn to just go with the flow.3. You forget the meaning of sleep.
Being too tired to function, Ross shows what all college students come to realize. There are three things you can do with your time: Study, sleep and party. Sometimes there is not enough time to do all three, and studying and partying occur at the expense of sleep.
4. When you have an exam the next day and you can hear the music from the frat next door.
Since college is a place to learn and not just party, you will end up staying in some nights to study for exams. You will feel annoyed when all you can hear is the music blaring from the frat house next door instead of your thoughts to reassure that you know the material you need to know for your exam.
5. Or that moment when you realize you have a paper due the next day.
With so many things going on, it is easy to forget an assignment. It is a terrible feeling when you forget to do something for a class.
8. It's okay to dance crazy, as long as your best friend is by your side.
Going out with friends is always fun. It is always fun to dance, too, but it's never the same as when you have a friend to dance crazily with you by your side.
9. When you walk across campus and see too much PDA.
Whether you are walking across campus or are socializing at a frat party, you are bound to run into a couple showing too much PDA. It will be awkward trying to walk past the couple making out in front of the door to your next class or turning around to the couple making out right behind you, but it will be more than you wanted to see.
10. When you describe the cute boy in your class to your best friend.
It is inevitable you will find a cute boy in college, so of course, it is necessary to tell your best friend of every single one. It is always a bonus when a campus cutie is in your class, especially if he is older.
11. There comes a time when you realize that you are very, very broke.

13. It's okay to take risks because that is what life is about.
College is a time for you to grow as a person. It is the first time you are truly on your own and it is a place where you will learn your strengths and weaknesses. It is a place where you can take risks that may result in mistakes, but guess what? It's okay. You will not be the only one messing up. College is your first look into the real world. It will be full of bittersweet moments that help you develop into your true self.
