I think most of us can agree that our childhood was a pretty good time in our lives. We could get away with doing silly and mindless things. There was less to worry about and more time to spend outdoors playing outside and being ourselves. To bring you back to those times, here's a list of 13 things we miss about being a kid.

1. Watching Your Favorite Shows After School

Remember when you would come home, throw your backpack down, and turn on the television to watch Arthur, Between the Lions, Out of the Box, Reading Rainbow, and more? Ah, good times.

2. Hanging out with your friends all the time

Now, it doesn't happen too often since everyone is busy with work and school. No more carpooling together to your friend's house and playing Pokemon or Super Mario games together.

3. Getting excited over the little things

Remember when you would be pumped about getting your favorite toy in your happy meal or being able to sit in the front of your car? What about receiving a dollar from the tooth fairy or meeting the Easter Bunny? Back then, there was so much to make us happy.

4. Always watching movies in class

Seeing your teacher pull out a VHS tape from behind her desk was always a great feeling. Everyone loved movie days.

5. The old Disney Channel

I don't think I know anyone who doesn't miss the old Disney Channel

6. Pizza day

Walking into your cafeteria at lunch time and realizing it was pizza day was a great feeling, and you would always hope there was some left over for seconds.

7. Passing a note in class

You would rip out a piece of paper from your composition journal and write something on it. Then, you would tap your friend on the shoulder and tell him or her to pass it to your crush. The adrenalin you felt when your crush read it was unreal. Sometimes, you might have slipped a note into a locker if you wanted to be a little more discrete.

8. Shopping for school supplies

Shopping for school supplies took hours, and there was a specific list for every grade. The list probably included colored pencils, crayons, markers, a tissue box, a ruler, binders with shoulder straps, stretchy book covers to protect your text books, and a folder with prongs. And you needed to have the coolest or prettiest folder available, like one that was holographic. Now all you need for school is an old folder and maybe a pencil.

9. Attending summer camps

It was exciting to meet new friends and be away from home for a summer doing all your favorite outdoor activities.

10. Recess

This was the time of the day we would always look forward to. Running around on the playground and using our imaginations to come up with different games to play with friends always made some of the best childhood memories.

11. Nap time

I'm sure most of us can say we miss this the most. Getting to nap at school and at home whenever we wanted was the best. Now that we're older, tired, and stressed most of the time, we need nap time more than ever. But who has time for naps? We've got bills to pay!

12. Making friends was super easy

It used to be so easy to make a new friend. All you would have to do is ask another kid if they wanted to play with you and the two of you would become best friends in an instant.

13. Birthday parties

Everyone was always invited and the party was probably Spiderman, Spongebob, or princess themed. You didn't have to spend your own money to get your friend a nice gift. Or if it was your party, you'd get tons of gifts. There was always food and juice boxes and you had loads of fun at every single one.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
