Ah yes, my little sister. Where do I begin? My little sister goes from being the bane of my existence, to my best friend within seconds. Little sisters can be brats, but they can also be saviors. From telling on each other to keep each others secrets, little sisters keep things interesting. Here are just some of the struggles of having one of these little sisters.
1. When they were born you weren't the center of attention anymore.
So now you're not as special anymore? This kid needs to go.
2. You probably hated them for a good period of time too.
You were probably too cool to hang out with your little sister and wanted absolutely nothing to do with her.
3. You're her babysitter.
Until your sister could stay home alone, you were her babysitter. That meant not being able to go out just to watch her. You definitely weren't happy.
4. ..and her chauffeur.
When your parents are busy you're expected to drive her everywhere. Doesn't help when her friends are far away.
5. You're expected to be the "good example."
Whenever you mess up your parents pull the "good example" card. You can't mess up when you have a little sibling I guess.
6. You get annoyed when they try to copy your style.
As soon as your parents get you something, she wants it too. Um, no?
7. And even more annoyed when they steal your clothes.
Just because I'm not home doesn't mean I don't see pictures of you wearing my things. I see you.
8. You get mad when they get away with a lot more than you did.
Since you were the "test child" your parents were just trying things out with you. So now your sister doesn't get in trouble for anything that you did.
9. When you got into fights, you got in trouble for being older.
Even if it was your sister's fault, you got in trouble for being older than her. Rude.
10. Telling them all your secrets and hoping they won't tell your parents.
You tell your sister everything. Especially the things your parents don't know. So, it's probably good to keep her on your good side.
11. Realizing that your little sister isn't so little anymore.
In your head, your sister is still like 8 years old. Little did you realize yes, she is in high school. She is also having her Sweet 16 soon? Wasn't mine just yesterday?
12. Leaving college and missing just hanging out together.
Going to college you realize how much you miss your little sister. She was always ready to get food and go to the mall with you. She was also just a door over.
13. Being back home and realizing that she still gets on your nerves.
Going back home and seeing your sister is fun for a second. Then you realize she stole a ton of things from your room and you're not so happy to see each other anymore.
