There are some songs from 10 years ago that still slay today. Rihanna, Fall Out Boy, Beyonce, and Maroon 5 are just a few of the artists that come to mind when I think of 2007. I remember having an iPod and wanting all kinds of songs on it. I didn't know what I wanted to listen to. I remember my Grandma having an old radio and I would try my hardest to tune it and make sure I could hear all the songs I wanted to at any time of the day. Whether it was singing in the shower or listening in the bedroom, there are some songs that have always stuck in my mind. I still listen to these songs today and I'm sure you do too. All these songs remind me of Summer. So here are 13 songs that still go super hard in the summer.
1. Umbrella - Rihanna ft. Jay-Z
You cannot tell me that you still don't listen to this song. I still know every single word. "When the sun shines, we shine together..." I feel like this was Rihanna's hit that made her just sky rocket into being a lot of people's favorite artist.
2. Makes Me Wonder - Maroon 5
Maybe I'm a little partial because Maroon 5 is my favorite band, but you know this song still goes super hard. This song is catchy to me. I still play this when I'm driving around in the summer. Such a great song.
3. Misery Business - Paramore
Okay, I don't know why, but this song just goes so hard to me. I can yell this song at the top of my lungs and be so happy. The weird thing is that this song isn't really a happy song, but I can be so happy when I sing it. Funny how that works?
4. Low - Flo Rida
I can just remember getting it so hard to this song at middle school dances. I can still dance to this and go so hard today. This song is just that kind of song that everyone can dance to.
5. Do You Know? (Ping Pong Song) - Enrique Iglesias
This song has the coolest music. It really sounds like people playing ping pong in the background and it is such a good song. The song is slower, but you can go so hard singing and belting this song in the car with the windows down in the summer. Trust me, just try it.
6. What Goes Around...Comes Around - Justin Timberlake
Who doesn't love Justin Timberlake? If you say you don't, you're lying. This song made my list because I will listen to this song anytime, any day, any year and also because Justin Timberlake is amazing.
7. This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race - Fall Out Boy
"All the boys who the dance floor didn't love, and all the girls whose lips couldn't move fast enough, sing until your lungs give out." This song just goes hard regardless. Summer is the best time to listen to this song for me. I love Fall Out Boy, but this is such a summer song in my eyes.
8. Shortie Like Mine - Bow Wow ft. Chris Brown & Johnta Austin
This was the summer anthem in 2007. All my friends loved the song, I loved the song, it was just the song to listen to. I know I still listen to it today and my friends do too. It is such a good summer song.
9. Welcome To The Black Parade - My Chemical Romance
If you tell me that you don't know this song, you're lying. This song is something that everyone can go hard to honestly. The part in the beginning when he yells and then the song speeds up, this song is pure genius.
10. Shut Up And Drive - Rihanna
Here she is again! Rihanna was so big in 2007 and all these songs are still so good today. She has put out a lot of good music over the years and these songs are no different.
11. Kiss Kiss - Chris Brown ft. T-Pain
This song goes so hard to me. I will listen to Chris Brown from 2007 all day long. His songs go so hard to me. The beat to this song makes it so much better.
12. Cyclone - Baby Bash ft. T-Pain
This song can get really annoying, but I can't help but sing along to this song. I listen to it and hear it more in the summer than any other time. My summer hits station on Pandora plays this song consistently. Summer hit in 2007 and still a summer hit in 2017.
13. The Great Escape - Boys Like Girls
When this song first came out, I didn't like it at all, but it grew on me really fast. I remember putting it on my Facebook wall and listening to it over and over again. I would lay on my bed and dance to the song with my headphones in.
