1. It's cool to like her, because it's hard NOT to find her relatable.
Considering how both guys and girls are fans of hers, you won't get made fun of for totally going crazy about her. It's like everybody has this universal opinion of "me too" when it comes to loving Taylor Swift.
2. She's constantly re-inventing herself.
I think this is really important. Artists sometimes try to stick to the same things when it proves to be a success, but Taylor hasn't been afraid to change her look and sound. Not only does it make her albums more exciting to look forward to, but it's actually representative of how every other person in the world is constantly changing and growing in different aspects of their lives.
3. Her music is meaningful.
Somehow, there's a taboo that pop music, and especially songs on the radio, aren't worth anything. Taylor smashes this stereotype by writing songs that are catchy but also tug at the minds and heartstrings of each listener.
4. She's a respectable artist.
She's not relying on her good looks or acting "cool" to gain fans. She simply lets her music do the talking, and is always going to the beat of her own drum.
5. She's a true entertainer.
If you've ever had the privilege to see her perform live (I've been blessed enough to have witnessed her amazingness twice), you know that she's a professional in every sense of the word. Her performances are always full of energy and she doesn't miss a note, whether she's strutting down the runway in her high heels or sitting at a piano playing a ballad.
6. She remains humble.
She's the first one to make fun of herself and act silly. She admits to being a massive baker and cat lover. Even though she lives the superstar life, on the average day she behaves like an average person, because believe it or not, she's still a normal person just like the rest of us.
7. She preaches feminism.
Since she does have so many women and young girls looking up to her, she's sure to use that power for good and voice her need for change in society.
8. She's doesn't wait around for "happily ever after" anymore.
She's been through all of the downfalls of love and now that she's grown up, she realizes that being in a relationship really isn't everything. Taylor's "1989" era has certainly given emphasis on her big group of friends, but they are all such confident figures that seem so supportive of her and vice versa. She's only 25, so I think it's great that she's concerned with building strong, real friendships with powerful women.
9. Secretly, we all just wish we were her.
Success, good looks, she's got it all.
10. Her rise to fame is a rags-to-riches story.
At the age of 13, she went up to big music execs asking for a record deal. She grew up in a little town in Pennsylvania. So many people are rooting for her not only because she has that "it" factor, but also because she worked hard to get where she is today.
11. She no longer cares about what society thinks of her.
"I go on too many dates, but I can't make them stay, that's what people say." Yeah, she's not blind to what society and gossip magazines say about her but she continues to live her life the way she wants. She looks way happier not worrying about other people's opinions, and it's pretty inspiring.
12. She treats her fans really, really well.
She's always going above and beyond for them to show her gratitude, whether that's by sending them money to pay for student loans or an operation, or hand selecting people from the audience to meet her after each of her concerts. It really sets her apart from all other acts out there today, and makes the "Swifties" want to further support her career because they feel so appreciated and recognized.
13. She's the ultimate guide to love.
Say what you want about her, but if you have any sort of emotion towards a romantic experience, she's probably written a song about it. She just gets it.
