As Mother's Day arrives, people start frantically searching for the perfect Mother's Day flower bouquet, gift, and card to present to their mother. But mothers deserve so much more recognition than a single Sunday reserved for them. They deserve to be cherished and receive appreciation every single day.

Here are 13 reasons why Mother's Day should be every day:

1. Mothers are simply awesome.

We have to give credit to where it's due.

2. Mothers always nurse us back to health.

No one will ever know how to take care of you better than your mother will. After all, she has nurtured you your whole entire life. Her homemade remedies may smell and taste funny, but she only means the best.

3. Mothers continue to love us even though we make mistakes.

Mothers understand that as human beings we are bound to making mistakes. They tell us that it's okay. Rather than blaming us for our errors, they help us learn from our biggest mess ups.

4. Mothers are always there to our rescue.

Moms are real life Superheroes. During the critical moments in life, a mother will go above and beyond to act in her child's best interests. Not only will she be there to save you, but she will assist you in overcoming the obstacles that you are facing.

5. Mothers reassure us in times of need.

When everything is going downhill and you feel like no one is on your side, your mom will be right by your side comforting you. She is constantly rooting for you and your happiness.

6. Mothers shower us with love and affection.

Some actually say that a mother's hug is the best medicine in the world. There is something so magical about a mother's touch that all your problems in the world seem to fade away when you are in her arms.

7. Mothers will always be our biggest cheer leaders.

They are our biggest fans. They will always see our hidden potential and believe in us. We can always count on them to be in our corner, even when no one else is.

8. Mothers teach us how to make good financial decisions.

Mothers teach us to be responsible about our spending. After all money doesn't just grow on trees. It might seem like she's just being cheap, but she's only trying to get you to develop better saving and spending habits.

9. Mothers cook our favorite dishes for us.

The special ingredient in a mother's cooking is love. She will go out of her way to make your favorite dishes just to make you feel happy and satisfied.

10. Mothers pack our favorite snacks for us.

Our mothers worry over whether we're hungry later on. Since they may not be around to feed us when that happens, they remember to supply us with snacks to munch on.

11. Mothers are always cleaning and have taught us how to tidy things up.

Mother teach us how to clean, cook and do laundry. They teach us the importance of creating routines and doing household chores.

12. Mothers continue to persevere even when they are physically exhausted.

Although it may seem like mothers have super human strength, they are only human just like us. It's normal that they may sometimes want to give up and quit the grueling tasks they do for us. The fact that they don't shows how resilient they are.

13. Mothers will always be looking out for our safety and well-being.

Mothers wish to keep you safe from all harms. They know every single thing that you're allergic to by heart. Sometimes it may feel like they're too worrisome, but it's only because they can't bear to see you hurt and suffering.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
