As a young woman, I have come to the realization that we live in a truly patriarchal society, that has been built upon male perspectives. Over the years I found myself asking these questions more and more, and now I am sharing them with you.

2. Why is it when having a conversation, women are responsible for toning down strong opinions?
3. Why are women constantly being told that their end goal should be marriage and a family?
4. Why are some people okay with the oversexualizing and objectifying of young girls in the media?
5. Why is it considered gross when women naturally breastfeed their babies in public?
6. Why is it that when women call themselves feminists, they are thought of as man-haters or "anti-marriage?"
7. Why is it that women's sports are often looked at as a joke or illegitimate, yet many of these teams often play at the same level on even higher than men?
8. Why is it that when women are walking down the street, men feel like it is their need to catcall women or tell them to smile or tell them "they are too pretty to be sad?"

9. Why is it that men are taught that catcalling women is "a part of the job?"
10. Why do some men feel as though they are entitled to harsh opinions on subject matters they have no relation to?

11. Why is it we are taught that "boys will be boys," but girls will most likely be punished for their actions?
12. Why is it that the media loves to portray women as "damsels in distress?"
13. Why are some people afraid of equality? How "scary" must women be to use all the power you have to try and keep them below you?
