Maryland has to be one of the most beautiful states there is and I am not just saying that because it's where I've lived my whole 21 years. It gets every season, mountains, oceans and so many different places to visit. Below are some of the most popular and amazing spots all over Maryland. I would get a pen and paper out if I were you because these are going on your bucket list.

1. Baltimore's Inner Harbor

From the National Aquarium to a multiple floor Barnes & Noble and all the small town bars and shops in between. A beautiful place to have a night out with the girls or a day filled with fun things with the boyfriend.

2. George Peabody Library

Located in Baltimore, Maryland the George Peabody Library is the perfect place for your biggest celebrations or open to readers and visitors Tuesday-Thursday from 9am to 5pm and 9am to 3pm on Friday's.

3. Ocean City

Thrashers, Dumser's, Lemonade, oh my! You can't go to Ocean City without walking the boardwalk and grabbing Thrashers Fries, freshly squeezed lemonade and a milkshake from Dumer's!

4. Maryland Science Center

Located in Baltimore, Maryland, the Maryland Science Center is home to more than 10 different exhibits filled with a lot of learning and even more fun. It's a great trip for the younger kids and the science interested adults.

5. The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore

From fish to Polar Bears The Maryland Zoo has it all. This is one of my favorite places to go and they have some pretty great special events like Brew the Zoo (for those of age of course).

6. Annapolis City Dock

Filled with shops, dining, boating and more. They City Dock is a great place to hang out with the family or friends for a day out, especially when the weather is beautiful!

7. Maryland Live Casino

If you are of age the Maryland Live Casio is great place to gamble and have a great time (located at Arundell Mills Mall)!

8. Merriweather Post Pavilion

If you are ever in Columbia, Maryland I highly suggest taking a look at Merriweather Post pavilion because they are almost always hosting an event. Concerts are a blast here and you will enjoy it sitting in a chair or on the lawn, no doubt.

9. Rocks State Park

If you are looking for a place to hike and see some amazing views, this is the place to do it. The King and Queen seat is the most popular attraction here, just be careful!

10. White Hall Sunflower Field

A personal favorite. Sunflowers as tall as you for miles all around you. A great place to just relax and walk through or an even better place for pictures.

11. Fort McHenry

If you are looking for a historic place to visit this is the one. You will learn more about Francis Scott Key and the Star Spangled Banner.

12. Rocky Gap State Park

Located in the mountains, Rocky Gap State park has so much to do from dining, shopping, golf, a casino and more. It's a great weekend getaway for the whole family.

13. Dan's Rock

Another personal favorite that I had to throw in because of my University being the one to show me this, Dan's Rock in Frostburg, Maryland. Though it may be covered in graffiti art, once you make it to the top and sit on the edge it is one of the most beautiful views you will ever get. Take as many pictures as you can because you are going to want to remember it.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
