It's that time of year again! While you may be planning costumes and stuffing your face with candy corn, you must be sure to tune your TVs to ABC Family beginning Oct. 19 to enjoy the pure scary and awesome movies to get you in the Halloween spirit.
Oct. 19
9 p.m. — "Hocus Pocus"
The classic of all Halloween movies, "Hocus Pocus" features the amazing talents of Bette Midler and Sarah Jessica Parker. With a talking cat and lots of laughs, you can’t truly celebrate Halloween without watching three witches come back from the dead.
Oct. 20
9 p.m. — "Stitchers" 2015 Halloween Special
The ABC Family show will feature a Halloween Special that is “scary but fun.” Both inside and outside the timeline for season 1, look forward to a great new episode of a fantastic new show.
Oct. 21
9 p.m. — "Addams Family Values"
This sequel to “The Addams Family” is another Halloween must-see. Telling the story of Gomez and Morticia welcoming a new baby boy, the dark comedy is filled with lots of twists, turns and, especially, laughs.
Oct. 22
8 p.m. — "The Hunger Games"
Not really sure how this qualifies as a Halloween movie, but nothing beats the girl on fire and her good-looking love interests, Peeta and Gale.
Oct. 23
8:30 p.m. — "Sleepy Hollow"
This 1999 Tim Burton movie features Johnny Depp as police constable Ichabod Crane, who is sent from New York City to investigate a series of murders by a suspicious and mysterious Headless Horseman in the village of Sleepy Hollow. This slasher-film is perfect for Halloween, as heads will roll.
Oct. 24
11 p.m. — "Toy Story OF TERROR!"
Woody and Buzz Lightyear are back for this Halloween television special, based on the Disney Pixar "Toy Story" movies. It takes place shortly after the events of "Toy Story 3." This is a fun and short special that will definitely bring out the inner kid in you while getting you in the Halloween spirit.
Oct. 25
7 p.m. — "Monsters University"
While not directly related to Halloween, "Monsters University" brings back your favorite scary guys, Mike and Sully. After watching "Toy Story" the previous night, this Disney film will definitely make you smile, laugh, and wish you were a kid again.

9:30 p.m. — "The Nightmare Before Christmas"
This Halloween must follows the misadventures of Jack Skellington, Halloweentown’s pumpkin king. Bored of frightening people in the “real world,” Jack stumbles on Christmastown. Halloween isn’t complete without watching Tim Burton’s must-see fantasy musical film.
Oct. 27
4 p.m. — "Frankenweenie"
Another Tim Burton must, this horror and comedy film stars Charlie Tahan as Young Victor Frankenstein, a science nerd and outsider at school with his dog, Sparky. In black and white, the film is very tongue-in-cheek as you watch Frankenstein and his peers bring their dead pets back to life. It’s fun, creepy, and perfect for Halloween.
Oct. 28
8:15 p.m. — "Dark Shadows"
ABC Family really loves Tim Burton. This 2012 film features Johnny Depp as a vampire who escapes from his tomb. With lots of laugh and Johnny Depp being ever so flawless, you must watch this movie to ensure you are ready for the spookiness of Halloween.
Oct. 29
7 p.m. — "The Addams Family"
The Halloween original and classic, you have to see this film going into the Halloween weekend. From Moriticia to Wednesday Addams, you have to enjoy and love this dark comedy and awesome film.
Oct. 30
8:30 p.m. — "Poltergeist"
This 1982 horror movie follows a family whose suburban home is haunted by evil forces. With ghosts galore, watching this film the night before Halloween will make sure that you are ready for the scary fun!
Oct. 31
While ABC Family will still be playing movies, you should be out trick-or-treating. So go get your candy!
