It's just a bunch of hocus pocus!

1. Mom's Got a Date with a Vampire

How annoyed were you when watching this? Because I was infuriated. Seriously, come on Hilda Spellman — I mean...mom? The dude is obviously a vampire! Now it's up to Taylor (the boy who strangely reminded me of Macaulay Culkin) and his siblings to save his mom. Nice job, mom.

2. Phantom of the Megaplex

Holy smokes! This movie used to scared to living daylights out of me. But of course, I still watched it. Who in the world is messing with the films? And when you'd see that cape whip by your heart would stop for a minute.

3. Under Wraps

My suggestion is to watch this after watching 'Phantom of the Megaplex'. The humor will help you forget about that scary phantom. Because who doesn't want to watch a movie about a group of kids who accidentally bring a mummy to life on Halloween?

4. Don't Look Under the Bed

This movie terrified me as a child and chances are it still does today. I'm not even kidding you, for a kids movie this was some intense stuff. This movie is the fuel of nightmares.

5. Twitches

This movie brings me so much happiness. Because when you see it on T.V. you KNOW it's Halloween. I wanted a bedroom like Camryn so bad! And that Halloween party she threw looked bomb; well you know, until the darkness crashed it.

6. Tower of Terror

This movie only intensified my fear of the basement for years. I'm telling you, I don't know how this thing was produced by Disney.

7. The Halloweentown Series

Oh yeah! If these don't scream nostalgia then I don't know what does! While my favorite was the first one, I still have to watch all of them because you can't just not watch the whole series. There was something so magical about these movies. My absolute favorite part was when the Piper kids had to go around Halloweentown to collect the ingredients for the potion. * Sigh * So nostalgic.

8. The Little Vampire

I cannot even stress to you how much I loved this movie when I was younger. I mean what's not to love? Jonathan Lipnicki was the cutest little kid ever. Let's just say it was NOT Halloween to me if I didn't see this movie.

9. Casper

Oh, you know the one I'm talking about. Two words: Christina. Ricci. How cool was that scene where Wendy took that little rollercoaster ride down through Casper's 'Up and At 'Em Machine'. And spoiler: Casper turns out to be a total babe (or at least he was back in the day).

10. Casper Meets Wendy

Obviously, you loved this movie because it starred Hilary Duff aka Lizzie McGuire. Who didn't love her? And anyone who says they didn't is lying. Also, the scene where Wendy and Casper get revenge on the little punk kid that's rude to Wendy is awesome. Don't act like you don't agree with me.

11. The Nightmare Before Christmas

First of all, let me just say that this movie is applicable to both Halloween and Christmas. That is one of the coolest things ever.

12. Double, Double Toil and Trouble

Who knew that a Mary-Kate and Ashley movie could be so scary? But I am here to tell you the one does indeed exist. I still have chills when I think about how petrifying that movie was to me.

13. Hocus Pocus

You didn't really think I'd forget about this one, did you? It's only the best Halloween movie to exist. I mean it's Bette Midler as a witch, come on! Not to mention there's a talking cat named Binx! And don't even get me started on Max; he's so dreamy, am I right? Plus, that musical number is the bomb. 'Nuff said.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
