9. The Orphanage
Stunning and unparalleled in the realm of horror, The Orphanage is a true nail-biter. When a woman brings her family back to her childhood home, her son starts to interact with an imaginary friend. And low and behold, the home used to be an orphanage for disabled children. Although this film is Spanish with English subtitles, don't let that differ you from this truly terrifying 2007 flick. 10. The Strangers

12. The Fourth Kind
With a combination of dramatizations and "real life" scenes, the two viewpoints work together to create a mystery that forces every viewer to question f it is reality or not. When a large amount of disappearances occur in Alaska, all are stumped. But psychiatrist Abbey Tyler sees a pattern with her patients that lead her to question how life beyond may be interacting with them, and the different kinds of contact they may have with them. Unbelievable and too scary to keep your eyes open, this 2009 film is for any scary movie lover.
13. The Hills Have Eyes
Violent, violent, violent, violent, gore, gruesome, disturbing, chilling and terrifying. The Hills Have Eyes is not for the weak stomached or anyone who can't see blood. Every kind of brutality happens to this family who, due to car trouble, have been stranded in the desert. They are soon stalked and hunted by a group of people far from civilization that have evident physical and psychological defects. This 2006 gore fest is sure to turn stomachs and disturb audiences everywhere. Viewers beware.
