If you grew up in the 90s, chances are that you watched "Full House" a time or two. The whole Tanner family served as an icon for the decade, and the legacy lives on. Why else would we all freak out when Netflix announced the creation of the sequel series? Besides the fact that we never really got over our crush on Uncle Jesse. I mean c'mon -- "Have mercy!" Here is a look back on 13 of the most memorable moments from "Full House," and a reminder for why we should all binge watch "Fuller House" immediately (I already did.... Whoops!).
1. The first episode.
You're lying if you say the Tanner family didn't have your whole heart from the moment they came on the screen. And let's be honest, this theme song was probably the theme song of your life in the 90s. "When you're lost out there and you're all alone, a light is waiting to carry you home." I know, you just sang it. Me too.
2. The time Uncle Jesse and Joey changed Michelle's diaper in a kitchen pot.
Hey, cut 'em some slack. At least they could get an award for most creative way to change a diaper... Right?!
3. Or the time Stephanie crashed Joey's new car into the kitchen and made a plan to run away to Mexico.
Because how many of us made it through childhood without wanting to run away to Mexico at least once? She had the perfect plan, too. Except for the part where she stopped at Aunt Becky's apartment and got caught.
4. The wedding that was almost the greatest wedding in the series.
Outdoor weddings are the most romantic, right? Thanks, Steph and Harry, for teaching us what weddings should look like. Best wedding kiss ever.
5. That time DJ and Stephanie lost Danny's wedding ring and we all cringed for them.
I still remember this moment as if it had happened to me. Popcorn and water flying everywhere... what a moment!
6. When DJ wore the same outfit as a teacher on her first day of high school.
We all know the struggle of finding a place in high school. The first day can be hard- especially when you match your teacher...
7. When Steve told DJ he loved her.
Swoon. This moment was perfect. It's not like it gave us all unrealistic expectations for prom or anything, though...
8. The time Uncle Jesse's family from Greece came and the Olsen twins met (I mean... Michelle met her cousin...)
As if it weren't cute enough to see both twins on the screen at the same time, they said Michelle's famous catchphrase together and in that moment everything was perfect.
9. The time we all bawled when Michelle learned Uncle Jesse would be moving out.
That's really all there is to it. We all bawled. Don't lie.
10. The wedding that actually WAS the greatest wedding in the whole series.
There came a point when we all wondered if it was ever going to happen, but then it did and we all rejoiced. Uncle Jesse and Aunt Becky #forevergoals
11. When the men of the house pretended to be pregnant.
We all remember when Uncle Jesse stuck his foot in his mouth (which happened quite often), but this time it got him and the other men into a challenge to wear pregnancy bellies. This man could do anything and still have the love of thousands.
12. The time Steve and DJ inspired us all to grow up to be camp counselors.
Telling scary stories and hanging out with your significant other all summer -- what could be better? (Too bad they broke up...)
13. The finale.
This is when we all cried and it felt like the world was ending. Well, okay, that might be a little dramatic. But really, it was the end of an era. We grew up with the Tanners and suddenly they were gone. There were so many questions unanswered: What would happen with DJ and Steve? Would Danny ever find love again? Then they all bowed and it was over.
Until now. Thank you, Netflix, for offering us a trip down memory lane and answers to so many of our questions through "Fuller House." And thank you for this emotional piece of sentiment which had all of us (or just me) crying by the end of the first episode. Now, get up and go binge watch this beautiful creation if you haven't yet!
