1. Fountains
Current students and prospective students alike Instagram the fountains at the front of campus. I am definitely guilty of doing so on my first ever visit here. Since they shut them down as early as the beginning of November in the fall, Ithaca students have to hurry and get these infamous Instas in before it’s too late.
2. Snow
Let’s face it, Ithaca is covered in snow for more than half of our time being here. We like to show off how beautiful it looks when everything is covered in white, and Ithaca kids tend to Instagram the snowy views during the wintertime.
3. Food like Purity Ice Cream & Collegetown Bagels
One great thing about Ithaca is the food. With more restaurants per capita than New York City, Ithaca holds some of the best places to grab a quick bite to eat or sit down for a nice meal (that we college kids can attempt to afford). The famous Purity Ice Cream Insta or even one from Ithaca Bakery is always seen over the weekend.
4. Commons
Since the Commons are finally completed, they’ve become one of the top places to Instagram. The paved walkways, benches, and huge sign are always being posted to Instagram.
5. First pic with your roommate
Whether it's Towers or the quads, your first night out is a memorable one. Every freshman student knows that the first Instagram out with your roommate is an important one, so get it right.
6. Chapel
Guilty of it myself, the chapel is definitely one of the most Instagram-able buildings on campus. With it’s beautiful small pond and huge glass windows, it makes for a great pic to post on a sunny day.
7. 2nd Floor Bar infamous Insta account
If you haven’t been on 2nd Floor’s Instagram, you dodged a bullet. If you have, we will pray for you.
8. Jumping into gorges
If you haven’t been to a gorge, get to one stat. Beautiful and fun, the gorges are one of the most famous points in Ithaca. Swimming, jumping, and hanging out with friends are some of the many things you can do at them and they attract other students from colleges such as Cortland (ugh).
9. Cortaca
If you didn’t Instagram at Cortaca, were you even there?!
10. Farmer's Market
Hard not to post, the Farmer’s Market has some of the most aesthetically pleasing views and foods to put a filter on.
11. Taughannock Falls
A beautiful waterfall located up Cayuga Lake, these falls grace the newsfeed of my Instagram weekly.
12. Apple fest
The ultimate place to Instagram in the fall. It has everything you need for the 'gram: cute outfits, good food, and the Ithaca Commons.
