1. Frank Ocean's album

Frank Ocean announced that he was planning to release his sophomore album "Boys Don't Cry" during July of 2015. Well, the album is still AWOL and it's 2016 now. Although most people have given up hope that the album is coming, I will be patiently (or not so patiently) waiting for boys to not cry on his album (I will be crying though, if you were wondering).

2. The next season of "Peaky Blinders" (to the U.S.)

The first two seasons of the popular BBC show came to us Americans via Netflix in late 2014. Ending on not precisely a cliffhanger but more of a "what does that mean?" U.S. watchers are hungry for the third season. After airing in the UK, the show will be housed on Netflix for all of us Shelby enthusiasts to binge watch.

3. The reveal of detailed information about the U.S. Wizarding School

When J.K. Rowling, author of the famed Harry Potter series, dropped the bomb that there was a wizarding school in the U.S. of A, Potterheads went crazy (including me). Since then, fans have been pestering Rowling for details about the U.S. school such as its location, name, and structure of the student body (Are there different houses? If so, are they defined by the same qualities as the ones in Hogwarts?). Some clues about the U.S. School will most likely be permeated throughout the forthcoming movie that takes place in the Wizarding World, "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them," starring Eddie Redmayne (pictured above) and set to be released in November 2016.

4. The next season of "The Great British Baking Show" (Or Bake Off) to the U.S.

Another beloved BBC show that has been featured on Netflix for the consumption of US television lovers, "The Great British Baking Show" (or as it is called in the UK, "The Great British Bake Off"), is my most recent favorite show. Unlike other chef competition shows in the U.S., there is no money or prize up for grabs in the competition, so the contestants are super nice to each other and genuinely look like they want each other to succeed. Also, the judges aren't there for the drama; they are straight shooters that give fair comments and advice and move on, hoping for each contestant to do well. With pretty food and such positive energy, I can't wait for the next season to hit Netflix.

5. Another great season for Temple football

Any Temple student, or Philly native, or general person in the US who watches football, has probably heard about the great season that Temple's football team has had (and is still having) in 2015. As a Temple student, I could sense the rise in school spirit and pride; campus was much more lively and excited and it was, admittedly, nice to have something to brag about. As we head into the Boca Bowl, I can't help but have hope for the future of Temple football. It would be awesome to experience such a great season during the 2016-2017 school year.

6. Beyoncé & Jay-Z's joint album

There have been an insane amount of rumors about a Beyoncé and Jay-Z joint album. Everyone knows that it's about time; with the launch of Tidal, I see the perfect platform to host the album and the perfect opportunity for the dynamic duo to lure in more subscribers.

7. A Disney Channel version of Nickelodeon's The Splat

In 2015, Nickelodeon launched a new programming block on TeenNick called The Splat. The Splat shows old Nick shows from the '90s, while the '90s Disney Channel shows have a reserved spot at ridiculous hours in the morning, such as 2:30 a.m. or 5 a.m. It would be cool if there was a more reasonable time for the TV shows that marked Disney Channel's prime.

9. A new album from James Blake

UK singer/songwriter James Blake released his last album "Overgrown" in 2013. The groundbreaking, beautiful album earned him a Grammy nomination as well as more recognition. While Blake still releases regular mixes (as a DJ, not a singer) under his label 1-800-Dinosaur on BBC radio, we're still waiting for his next album to drop. Blake has confirmed that he's working on one and it may involve Kanye West. I need it now; I want it now. Hopefully, 2016 can bring it to me.

10. For "Finding Dory" to live up to expectations

"Finding Nemo" is my, and many others', favorite Pixar film, and if not one's favorite, then definitely the most quotable. Everyone's favorite amnesia-ridden Blue Tang fish, Dory, finally gets the spotlight in her own film as she looks for her history and her family. With the always hilarious Ellen DeGeneres voicing Dory, I'm super excited for this movie to be my second favorite Pixar movie.

11. A "Hamilton" broadway tour

Everyone has been raving about the new musical "Hamilton" penned (book and music) by the genius Lin-Manuel Miranda (also responsible for the Tony-winning musical "In the Heights"). The revolutionary (literally and figuratively) hip-hop/rap musical about founding father Alexander Hamilton has taken the world by storm. With a cast filled with various racial minorities and a soundtrack backed by Philly's own Questlove and BlackThought of the hip-hop/rap group The Roots (aka Jimmy Fallon's house band), the musical is doing something that hasn't been done before in the broadway world. But unfortunately, tickets are hard to come by and with the musical set to go to Chicago, I'm hoping for a stop in Philly on a larger tour somewhere down the road.

12. For "A Series of Unfortunate Events" to live up to expectations

Netflix announced that in 2016, they will release a miniseries based on Lemony Snicket's popular children's/young adult novel series "The Series of Unfortunate Events." In 2004, a movie based on the first three books in the series was released starring Jim Carrey, Meryl Streep, and Jude Law, but with the combining of the three novels, the film couldn't do the series justice and so a sequel was never made. I have faith that Netflix will do it right, and a miniseries seems like the perfect format to produce a visual adaptation.

13. An Oscar for Leo

Everyone is aware of the fact that Leonardo DiCaprio, one of the best and most prolific actors of our time, has not won an Oscar yet. But, with his new film "The Revenant," also starring Tom Hardy and directed by one of last year's Oscar winners Alejandro González Iñárritu, which is set to release in January, many believe that this will be Leo's chance.
