13 Of The Most Commonly Heard Words In 2016

Phrases and slang come and go just as quickly as fads. I'm sure anyone would agree with me that when people start saying something over and over again it's only a matter of time before you adopt it yourself. Unless of course you're the trendsetter that brought this new slang to life. I've come up with a list of some of the more commonly heard words and phrases most recently. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't guilty of using most of these.

1. Dope.

"That's so dope"

2. Bet.

3. Lowkey.

"I lowkey don't want to go to this class today"

4. Same.

*Sees picture of someone struggling*

"Same"

5. AF

This has become the most popular unit of measurement

6. so weak.

"That video was hilarious, I'm so weak"

7. Dead.

It was so funny I'm dead.

8. Savage.

9. It's Lit

pair this with AF and you've had the greatest night of your life my friend.

"It was Lit AF"

10. High Key

The opposite of lowkey, reference Drake:

"Low key, or maybe high key, I been peeped that you like me"

11. Fam

"Hey fam"

12. Peep

"hey, peep my snapchat story"

13. RT

"retweet"
