As we have grown older, Christmas morning becomes less exciting and begins to feel a little more routine. Obviously the love for Christmas is still there but it isn't the same as when you were a kid. In a hope of bringing that spirit back, here are 13 toys that should make a reappearance on your Christmas list, or should at least give you some nostalgia of your childhood.

1. Easy-Bake Oven

Nothing says dorm food like instant baked goods!

2. Razor scooter

Bikes and skateboards are too common on campuses. Plus, if you're ever in danger, you can whip it around and break someone's ankles.

3. Moon shoes

Whoever let these go out of style needs to be punished.

4. Walkie Talkies

Unleash your inner spy kid. Texting and calling is overrated anyways.

5. Heelys

You could literally roll up to every party this semester.

6. Tamogotchi

A little less maintenance than a gold fish and at least twice the mini games. Therefore, it makes the perfect dorm pet.

7. Nerf gun

Also can be used for self defense. Win-win.

8. Etch a Sketch

If you didn't have an etch-a-sketch as a child, it's not too late. Unleash your inner Van Gogh.

9. Game Boy

Think of it as hand-held procrastination. Even though videogames have evolved into HD, there's something about the low quality of a game boy that makes it even better.

10. Lava lamp

Not a toy, but still pretty awesome.

11. View Master

Netflix and chill, but on the go.

12. A puppy

Sadly, I never got to fulfill my childhood dream of opening up a present on Christmas day to find a little puppy wrapped in a bow.

13. A giant stuffed animal

But only in case the puppy doesn't work out.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
