Finals week is closely approaching and unfortunately, that may mean our stress levels are slowly rising as we look at our schedules and realize how much we have to do in the matter of a couple weeks. However, in order to make it through finals, you can't only study, so what are things to do to give yourself a little break each day?
1. Get something to eat.
Yes, if you are like a lot of college students are super stressed, you may either forget to eat or not want to because you're too stressed. You need to eat—it's fuel for you and your brain!
2. Take an hour yoga class.
Depending on your school, you may find that they offer these for free during the week! It's a great stress reliever to just breathe.
3. Go get some coffee.
Coffee is a wonderful way to wake yourself up if you need a little pick-me-up in the morning!
4. Go to the gym.
No matter what you do there, exercise is a great way to get your brain moving and to let yourself think of something other than biology or psychology!
5. Pet puppies at a local pet store.
Yes, pet therapy is a very real thing, and it will help you de-stress!!
6. Get some ice cream at a place you like.
A little bit of something sweet will cheer you up, at least for a little bit! Plus, it tastes good, so it's a win win.
7. Hang out with your friends for a little bit.
Talk about something other than what you're studying for! Get that off of your mind for at least an hour. Laughing is a great stress reliever!
8. Form a group study session
Maybe the people who you are studying with, can give you some insight on how they see things and how they memorize them!
9. Pack up some of your stuff for a little bit each day.
This will not only give you a mini break from studying, but it'll just remind you that once you're done with finals, you get to take all of your stuff and go home.
10. Ask your professors for help.
This may be the best way to get answers if you don't know how to figure something out!
11. Take a nap.
Don't forget to sleep! Sleep deprivation is not going to help your brain!
12. Remind yourself that it'll be okay.
These finals are just exams, don't take them as the end of the world. You study and you try, and that's all you can do!
