12 Ways To Show Your Roommates That You Missed Them Over Break

If you're anything like me, I'm sure you started to miss your roommates during the winter break. In between the adventures you had during break (such as going to the mountains or watching that new show on Netflix) you just could not help but miss those people. Now that they're moving back in after the break, I'm sure you're very excited.

So, here are some ways that you can show them you missed them (but maybe a bit too much).

1. Clean the apartment before they arrive.

No one likes coming home to a messy apartment! Cleaning the apartment, (or at least a section of it) can really show them that you wanted to treat them with a simple gift.

2. When they walk into the apartment for the first time, offer to help them move their stuff in.

Everything helps when you're moving back in. Offering to help them can not only save time for all of the plans you have for that day, but it can also show your roommate(s) that you care about them.

3. When you're done, jump into their arms.

There's no better felling, really.

4. Have an hour long selfie sesh with them and post an album on Facebook.

How else are you going to show all of your friends at school that you and your roommate(s) are #reunited? Just be sure to catch your good side.

5. Cook them dinner.

When they've potentially been traveling all day, it's the little things that count. Always remember the little things and enjoy them.

6. Ask them about their break.

I'm sure they have a ton of stories to tell you about their various trips and adventures. That is, unless you've been texting nonstop. In that case, the conversation may be more about how you binge-watched "Master of None" on Netflix and absolutely loved it because Aziz Ansari is great and everything about that show is great.

7. Watch Harry Potter with them after you've made some delicious hot cocoa.

The hot cocoa is especially good if need something to hide your tears for every time Alan Rickman comes on screen.

8. Knit a sweater that says, "I love my roommate."

What else shows your roommate(s) that you missed them better than something wearable that tells them you love them? Bonus points if it has a picture of your face on it.

9. Hold their hand and tell them you're never letting go again.

If you never let them go, then they can never leave you again so you never miss them, right?

10. Present them with a scrapbook of every picture you've had with them.

Show them the scrapbook that I'm sure you spent all of break making and looking through on throwback Thursday for that special #tbt post on Instagram.

11. For dessert, bake them a cake with their face on it.

An edible version of their face? Yes please. This will definitely show them that you missed them!

12. Go into the room and show them the "roomie shrine" you made.

What better way to show them your love? A physical representation of pictures and sculptures would definitely get that message across.

Once you get all of those down, there is no doubt whatsoever that you roommate(s) will understand how much you missed them over break!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
