Finals week is a time where the last thing on our minds is our appearance, our health, and our sanity.

The wave of relief that we feel after we have finished all of our exams is truly alleviating, but it doesn't have to stop there. Here are 12 things that you should go the extra mile for, in order to celebrate your accomplishments:

1. Mask On

There's this meme that says that despite the hell you are going through, a face mask seems to be the band-aid to your problems. Well, as soon as you're done with finals you have the perfect excuse to sit back and lay a sheet or clay on your face. Do it.

2. Netflix won't be watched nervously

If you didn't have time to binge watch your favorite Netflix series while you were studying (or you watched it nervously while procrastinating then) now you can enjoy it without having that little devil on your shoulder steering you towards bad decisions.

3. F is for friends who hang out together

It's difficult to make time to hang out with your friends when your life for a week or two is spent with your face fixated on study material. Text your friends and plan a night out to celebrate! One of the greatest relaxation techniques is a good ol' laugh with your friends.

4. Never too old for bubbles

A bubble bath is sure to help you relax physically and mentally. Bubbles is also a plus, am I right?

5. A little drink never hurt anybody

Wine not?

*Please drink legally and responsibly.*

6. Cuddles for days

A good cuddle with a significant other, a friend, or a pet will be sure to make your brain happy.

7. Massage day

Splurging on a relaxing deep tissue massage is a gift from above. After spending days carrying around books and backpacks, your body, especially your back, will thank you for such luxury.

8. Get your sweat on

If you missed gym days or just don't do the gym at all, exercising is a great stress reliever and an awesome way to get your adrenaline going. Now get on that treadmill and run like you're running away from your problems.

9. Time alone is time well spent

A break from the outside world and social media is needed to balance your energy levels. Do it and don't feel guilty about it. You deserve it.

10. Memes

Do I need to say more?

11. Now walk it out

Put your headphones on and go for a walk. Or even better, enjoy your surroundings and put the phone aside for a little while.

12. Plan a mini vacation

You deserve to go away for a little bit. There are websites where you can find flights at a good price for students.

You got through a semester's worth of heavy coursework, great job! Now go and enjoy the freedom of being school work free!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
