Rory Gilmore is one of my favorite fictional characters. She's funny, smart and very relatable. I appreciate her wit and her perfectly timed sarcasm. I also really admire how much of a book worm she is and that she doesn't apologize for it. In a lot of ways, she reminds me of me.
Here are some of my favorite Rory Gilmore moments that deal with my favorite subject, books.
1. Finding a best friend who appreciates books as much as you is VERY important!
2. Book smell should be bottled and sold.
3. Seeing a cute guy on the street reading is the equivalent of watching 'Magic Mike'.
4. When you have a boyfriend that reads a lot too, you get to have great conversations about all your favorites books and characters.
5. And even if there is a cute guy in front of you, sometimes you can't pull your eyes away from a good book.
6. You treat your books like children and certain things can't be said in front of them.
7. There often comes a great reverence and respect for books.
8. And you think that your books have feelings.... which they do!
9. You can't go anywhere without a book in your hand or in your bag.
10. When a beloved character dies in a book, your grieving needs to be understood.
11. When you stay up all night reading and need your other best friend, coffee
12. When you meet someone for the first time, this is always the first question.
13. And most importantly, there will always be more books hidden somewhere in your home.
