How long until my next day off?

12 Thoughts After A Long Weekend

It's always a blessing when you get a spontaneous day off of work or school and you get to ignore all of your responsibilities on what is normally just another boring day, and it's even better when it comes with a holiday where you get to spend time with friends and family, barbecue, or traveling. However, all long weekends come to an end, and eventually you have to return to the world of cubicles, textbooks, and saying goodbye to your friends until next time. And we all know exactly how you're feeling right now:

1. This weekend did not feel long enough.

2. I really need a{nother} vacation.

3. I do not want to be here right now.

4. Did I leave my sunglasses somewhere?

5. How long until my next day off?

6. My wallet did not enjoy this weekend as much as I did.

7. My sunburn didn't either.

8. Why did I waste so much of the weekend sleeping?

9. My inbox has over a hundred emails, did no one else get the memo that this was a long weekend?

10. How am I ever going to answer a hundred emails today?

11. I wonder if I can go home early today.

12. I'm going to go home and pretend it's not over yet.

No matter how you spent your long weekend, none of us are happy it's over. I guess it's time we try and get re-accustomed to normal life, with Netflix and wine instead of fireworks and block parties. At least the next one is only about 10 weeks away, right?

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
