I adore you

I cherish who you are, even in your suffering. You inspire me in so many ways, and just your presence is enough for me. God knew what He was doing when He created you. I admire you.

I’m invested in you

I’m willing to give whatever you need. Whether it be time, money, or just listening ears, I’m all in. I will not leave you stranded.

I hurt for you

My heart breaks for you. Because of your value and worth to me, I feel the weight of your pains on my shoulders.

I will keep your secrets safe

The deepest and darkest places of your heart are valuable to me. I will never uncover them. I want you to confide in me, knowing my loyalty to you.

You are strong

In fact, you’re the strongest person I know. You hold your own, and you can do this. It’s okay that you are allowing the sting of pain to touch you. Just know a sting isn’t going to break you. You’re so much stronger than that.

A place in my heart is yours

You mean so much to me, and I will forever be in your corner.

I’ll love you through it

I won’t let you go. Nothing you do can make me love you less.

You will never walk alone

I promise the loneliness that you feel is a lie. I will hold you when you cannot hold yourself. Hold my hand; you’ll see how firm my grasp is.

Your life is valuable

I hope you know your beauty and worth. I hope that in this darkness, you see all your light. Your life is so precious.

I support you

I’m your biggest fan. I will not fear giving you my opinion, but even more so, I will not fear showing faithfulness to you.

I’m praying for you

I know that we are not capable of controlling anything, so I’m pleading that the One who is, heals your heart and restores your soul. He has so much love and care for you. I am praying you find comfort in Him.

I thank God for you

I praise Him for giving me you. Your life brings me joy. In your affliction, I still praise Him for a person as original as you. You are such a blessing.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
