All Latinos/ Hispanics are different. In each country across Latin America and the Caribbean we all come in different shapes and sizes. It's alright to be pale just like it is alright to be an Afro-latino. We are all different but at the end of the day we come together when the Latino community is in need. We should not be judged from the color of our skin because in the media Latina's are portrayed are these beautiful tan goddesses with dark eyes and long black hair. Not all of us look that way, because that is the way we were made and no one should put us down or question who we are.
1. There are white people from where you're from?
Just because I'm Latina doesn't mean we're all tan. We all have different skin colors.
2. That must suck not looking Latina.
A Latina doesn't have any particular face, we all look different.
3. Is your family as white as you?
Actually my mothers side of the family is very tan compared to my fathers. So no they all aren't.
4. OMG you can speak Spanish? I thought you were white.
It's my first language actually, don't let my complexion fool you.
5. You're such a gringa.
Just because I'm white that automatically does not make me a gringa.
6. So are you from Spain then?
Actually born in Colombia, but nice try.
7. Do you get tan easily?
I burn easily if that's what you mean.
8. You have no right to talk about the Latino community.
I am apart of the Latino community, so I have every right to speak my mind.
9. What would you know about immigration?
I don't know maybe a lot since I come from a family a immigrants.
10. You're whiter than me, that means i'm more Latina than you.
Just because you're tan that doesn't automatically make you a Latina.
12. Are you near Mexico?
Sorry to say, but Colombia is in South America; no where near Mexico.
