As an activity that only a select group of individuals find happiness in doing, running is an obsession. Once you start, you can't stop. Running becomes a part of your life, and because of this thing that most people cringe at just the thought of doing, you can relate to all those other people who have just as much passion and dedication towards it as you do.
1. You always get asked, "You like running for fun?"
When you say yes, people act like you're totally crazy and give you that look that we are all very familiar with.
2. You are a bottomless pit, and you eat more than anyone
thinks you can.
It might not always be the healthiest option, but your
go-to excuse is "I'll run it off later."
3. The majority of your wardrobe is running attire.
You can never have too many t-shirts or spandex, so of course you buy new ones at every given opportunity.
4. People tell you that running isn't a sport as if you won't get offended.
Seriously? That's what you want to tell someone who runs every day?
5. You have extremely noticeable tan lines from your t-shirt, shorts, and shoes during the summer.
As soon as you go out in the sun without your tennis shoes, your feet burn immediately.
6. You get random muscle cramps at inconvenient times.
Nothing is worse than getting a nasty toe cramp while running or a charlie horse in your calf in the middle of the night.
7. Your arms are probably not your best feature.
Let's face it. No matter how hard you try, it will always be difficult to do push ups.
8. The pain face is real. No one looks pretty when they are running.
Any picture that you've ever seen of yourself running displays the intense pain that you are experiencing at that very moment.
9. You frequently hear a series of cracks and pops coming from your legs.
You've already accepted the fact that you'll probably need hip and knee replacements by the time you are 40.
10. Sometimes you question why you put yourself through all that pain.
Especially when you are on your sixth out of ten 300's and you feel like it would be less painful to just cut off your legs rather than finishing the workout.
11. But no matter how tough the workouts get, you cannot imagine your life without running.
If it wasn't such an important part of your life, you wouldn't keep doing it.
Sure there are a lot of other things that we could all relate to, but if I tried making a list to include everything, it would probably be a few miles long. But hey, you're used to going that distance.
