12 Struggles Girls Face In The Summer

Ladies we all know that once the weather gets warmer we want to spend all of our time outside. We want to put on those new bathing suits we bought, and swap out the sweaters and jeans with shorts and t-shirts. We want to spend some time in the sun, tan and take beach trips. But I think we all can agree that once the warmer weather hits we all face the same struggles that come along with it.

Here are 12 struggles all girls face in the summer.

1. Leg Sweat

Warmer weather means wearing shorts, skirts or a dress. While we all love being able to break all these outfits out, nothing is worse than sitting down in a booth at a restaurant and experiencing leg sweat. You literally have to brace yourself when you want to move because you are basically ripping your skin off of the seat itself.

2. Neck Sweat

When you try and look nice in the scorching heat and do your hair for once, you of course get the neck sweat that is unavoidable.

3. Blow Drying Your Hair

Because this is just what I want to do after being in the heat all day is to take a shower and afterwards blow some more hot heat on my head.

4. Getting Ready to go out

This is awful when on top of having to blow dry your hair to go out, you have to try and put make-up on while sweat is pouring down your face. Oh, and trying to find something to wear, constantly switching outfits only makes you even more hot.

5. Boob Sweat

It doesn't matter if you have small boobs or large boobs, you sweat there anyway and it's the worst.

6. Mosquito Bites

Okay yes I know that guys have to deal with mosquito bites too, but I think all of the ladies can agree that it's worse because our shorts are shorter. Nothing is worse than getting a mosquito bite higher than your legs.

7. Humidity hair

This is the most annoying thing because there is nothing you can do about it. If you're like me, your hair does not work well when it is humid out. Nothing is worse than spending time making sure your hair looks nice then walking outside only to notice that it turns into a giant afro.

8. Car hair

Once again if you're like me, when you're driving with the windows down, you do not look like a beautiful model with your hair flowing perfectly in the wind. The direct result of this is having knotty crazy hair after you spent a good hour trying to tame it.

9. Wearing anything strapless

I don't care if you have big boobs to help support strapless shirts/dresses, or if you have small boobs that just don't work with it. All girls face the same struggles of continuously pulling up your strapless shirt or dress the whole time you have it on.

10. Shaving

After hibernating all winter and letting your hair grow out everywhere like you're a chia pet, once summer comes rolling around we have to shave everywhere all the time. The most annoying place to shave is our legs because we have to do it constantly so we don't look like hairy beasts in shorts.

11. The summer bod

We all tell ourselves, "I'll definitely get in shape this summer" but soon we realize that our "summer bod" that we thought we'd have by now is actually our "winter bod" we've been enhancing all year. All ladies want to have that perfect beach body for the summer time and first putting on a bathing suit after all winter is just depressing to us.

12. Your make-up runs

If you start to sweat enough, eventually your make-up will just melt off your face.

But remember ladies, despite all these struggles you're still beautiful!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
