12 Signs You And Your Roommates Are Actually Family

Living with roommates can be hard if you don’t know them very well – especially if they turn out to not like you. However, you may be a lot closer to your roommates than you realize – too close, almost. Here are the 12 signs that you and your roommates have become family.

1. You don’t stress about finding an outfit because you have four different closets to raid and steal clothes from.

2. Your bed isn’t your own; it must be able to fit everyone for therapy sessions.

3. You take endless selfies until you all agree on one (which takes forever).

4. You plan your weeknights around homework, movie nights, and Bachelor nights –which are all followed by texts discussing the bad decisions Ben made.

5. If you have a bad day, you know you’ll find sticky notes everywhere saying inspirational messages that make you feel loved.

6. Everyone makes snacks for each other, but if you touch someone’s Oreos, it's war.

7. After you go a little too hard, you always know you’ll have someone to hold your hair back, listen to you cry for three hours, and clean up the house with you.

8. You know that if your alarm doesn’t wake you up, your roommate kicking in your door screaming “GET UP” sure will.

9. You always have a babysitter for your stuffed animal if you go out for the night.

10. You send goodnight texts so everyone feels loved.

11. It's comforting to know that when someone is talking to a boy, it’s always a group effort.

12. You become too comfortable and bodily functions don't even phase you anymore.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
