I purchased my first planner my freshman year of high school. Since then, I haven't gone anywhere without it. I originally used it mostly for school and big events, but, this past summer, it became a much bigger task. My planner is more like an organized scrapbook, which documents, like a diary, every task and activity that I do during the day. I could not live without my planner and its become less of a hobby and more of an addiction.
1. You own multiple planners, each with an individual purpose.
Because, obviously, you can not be expected to fit your school, social life, and work all into one planner.
2. Picking a planner is probably the biggest decision you've ever made.
You spend weeks reading about different planners, watching video reviews, and you've searched through Target's planner section more than you care to admit. But, you know, even after you finally purchase one, you will probably end up wishing you had a different one.
3. You blow every paycheck on stickers, pens, Post-Its, etc...
Your first instinct after receiving any amount of money is to get in the car and and drive to the nearest craft store where you will spend every cent you have in less than an hour.
4. You have a designated planning time every day.
You have hours set aside on Sundays to pre-plan for your week. You most likely wake up early every morning to write your to-do list and schedule for the day ahead. And you can't go to bed without reviewing what you did that day and filling in any extra activities that you had not planned on earlier in the day.
5. You have a special area for all your planning supplies.
For some, it may be just a drawer, while others have an entire room in their house dedicated to the storage of washi, pens, stickers, post-it notes, etc...
6. And when you show people all those supplies, they probably think you're crazy.
But we all know how much crazier our lives would be without planning in our lives.
7. You're subscribed to multiple "planner channels" on YouTube and get way to excited every time they upload a "Plan with Me".
Though the videos typically just evoke jealousy since i will never get my planner on the same level as theirs. Obviously, I need to do some more shopping...
8. You take way to much pride in your planner and want to show it to everyone you meet.
Friends, grandparents, coworkers, teachers...everyone must see my planner! Even though, most of the time, they just look at me like I'm a total nut-job.
9. You're OCD about what pens to buy and what color is used for every event.
And, you better believe that if anyone else tries to write in my planner, there is going to be hell to pay.
10. You never finish out a planner, because you buy a new one every time they're released.
I mean, really, why do they even make the planners 18-month anyways...I'm obviously just going to buy a new one in 12-months.
11. People can tell when you go a week without planning, because you're a total wreck.
I don't know how non-planners ever get anything done. I can barely get up in the morning without a to-do list.
12. When you meet others who have the same addiction as you, you are instant friends.
Finally, someone who is equally as crazy as I am.
