1. You have plenty of your own space!

If you are anything like me, I need my own space. Time away to think and be yourself. You don't need some clingy girlfriend/boyfriend on you 24/7. So if you're single, embrace that 'you' time while you've got it!

2. You get a chance to be that strong, independent woman your mother always wanted you to be.

YOU DON'T NEED NO MAN! We are all strong and independent (even the guys). We don't need someone telling us what to do... except of course our parents. In that case, we listen.

3. You're poor and in college.

Since you are more than likely in college in your early 20's, you're struggling financially. So, if you're single, that means one less person you have to shop for during the holidays.

5. The last slice of pizza is all yours.

Every time you have a pizza, the last piece is the best. And out of courtesy, you offer it to your significant other. BUT if you don't have a significant other, that last piece is all yours. No hard feelings. Only satisfaction.

4. More time for friends.

It's inevitable. Every time you get into a relationship, you tend to leave your friends out a little. But who needs a man or woman when you have a few great friends that you can do anything and everything with?

5. Do what you want! There is no one stopping YOU.

You wanna party? You wanna bar hop? You wanna go to the zoo and feed the goats? DO IT. There is no one stopping you, boo.

6. Travel with no restrictions.

If you have to make a life-altering decisions about leaving for cross country trips or across the world, you have only yourself to consult. There is nothing holding you down!

7. You don't have to worry about your appearance.

Who cares????? You could wear sweatpants where ever you wanted. AND you know what that means, ladies! No shave November just became an annual thing... amirite?

8. You can hang out and date whoever you want to figure out what you want.

Whoever said that 'playing the field' was a bad idea? NO ONE. I've been playing the field for 21 years now and I still don't know what I want. And I'm totally fine with that. When the right guy comes along, I'll know exactly what I want. That goes for guys too!

9. You can be your own kind of weird.

For those of you who don't know me, I am my own kind of odd. And there is nothing wrong with that! You can be your own kind of odd with your friends. Because some people will want to quiet your thunder. Don't let people quiet your thunder, ladies and gents.

10. Focus on bettering your own life.

You're in your early twenties and you're trying to finish school and apply for jobs. You are starting a future for yourself, you don't need the drama of a guy or girl holding you down or manipulating your future! Focus on yourself!

11. Less worry and stress!

You're young. You're stressed. You have no idea what you're going to do in the next few years, months or, lets face it, hours. We, as young adults, don't need any more stress or negativity in our lives. We're single and sufficient!

12. YOU'RE THE BOSS

You're the boss of your own life. Don't let someone else control you.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
