College is fun. College is overwhelming. College is stressful. College is awesome. Honestly, I could use a lot of adjectives to describe the college experience, but I'm going to let the cast of "New Girl" do that instead. I just recently started watching the show, and I can safely say it's one of the best, most time-consuming decisions I have ever made. I found it extremely relatable. So I present to you "College: The 'New Girl' Edition."

1. The feeling when you see the male equivalent of Beyonce walking across campus

You may not even know his name, but who cares? He's perfection, and that is all that matters.

2. Whoa, you actually made above an 80 on that presentation?

Even though you prepared for hours and had your entire speech memorized, you got nervous and expected a much lower grade. Turns out, you were wrong. You did awesome. Way to go, you!

3. Sometimes, though, the presentation doesn't go so well, and everyone just gives you strange looks the entire time.

You said "um" far too often and managed to stutter several times, and now you just seem ridiculously unprepared even though you probably ran through the presentation about 23 times.

4. When students from the local middle school come to visit your campus, it irks you.

This really shouldn't bother you, but for some reason, it just does. It throws the whole "college campus aura" off. Also, they eat all of the food in the Caf that you paid thousands of dollars for, and break the soft-serve machine while they're at it.

5. When you have to say "hi" to your professor after skipping their class that day, you cringe.

Whether you had a valid excuse, like a doctor's appointment, or just weren't feeling class that day, there is nothing quite as awkward as seeing your professor after you didn't show up to their class. My bad.

6. Seeing couples actually sort of makes you sick.

You understand that couples will do couple-y things, but can't they do it somewhere besides in a booth in the Student Center?

7. When you've had a rough day and just want to be alone.

Whether it be because of a test that went horribly or you tripped in front of a bunch of people, some days are pretty rough and you just want to be alone. While you love your friends, you don't want them in your room right now. You just want to listen to Taylor Swift.

8. When it finally hits you how real the freshman 15 is.

You always thought this was a myth, and now that you realize it's the real deal ... you're still not doing anything about it. You may try to eat less food, but that plan lasts for about a week and then it's back to doughnuts and pasta.

9. When you should have stayed on campus and studied for your 8 a.m. test the next morning, but you couldn't resist that 10 p.m. Cook Out run.

Sure, you haven't studied once for this test, but you also haven't had Cook Out since yesterday. It's an obvious (bad) decision.

10. When you go out in public with your friends, the fun never ends.

You're all ridiculously embarrassing and have probably gotten a few unadmirable glances, but who cares? You're having fun!

11. When you know that your roommate will have your back for life and that they're your best friend in the universe.

If you're like me, no one beats your roommate. They're your best friend, and you don't even want to think about how dreadfully normal your life would be without them.

12. You wouldn't trade this experience for anything, because you've made the greatest memories with the greatest friends.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
