12 Lucky Reasons Why It's Good to Go to School with Your Big Sister

If you have a sister I suggest you go to school with her again. Yes, you may have been through elementary, middle and high school together, but college is so much different. You are both grown ups and more mature than what you were in high school. There is no petty, “I’m too cool for you, don’t talk to me” drama going on in college (or at least a lot less than high school). Now you are celebrating birthdays together instead of being away and posting on Instagram and texting her.

I do not know what I would do if I didn’t have an older sister, especially if I didn’t have her at school with me. Mine has helped me grow and has always been there to tell me why or why not do something. She has called me out after I have made a stupid mistake and has been there when I did something well. She has been the helping hand and that person that reminds me of home being away at college.

  1. One of you has the car and the chances of you having it is slim. She most likely has it so you have to get rides and don’t have to pay for gas as often.

5. If she is of age, she can get you alcohol.

6.You have somewhere to go before hitting the bars .

7. She is there to encourage you and sends you pictures of encouragement.

8.You get closer going through some of the same things with school and the weather.

9. You get to know her friends and she gets to know yours. I tell her this

10. The family goes to you instead of you making the trip home.

11. She is always down to go get food no matter the time.

12. You always have someone in the car on the drive home where you can blast anything you want from show tunes to rap to Bruce Springsteen and sing at the top of your lungs with no judgement. I

I am lucky enough to have transferred to a school that was better for me. It was an icing on the cake having my big sister here. If you are lucky enough to go to school with your sister, I suggest you do. It has made us closer and I lucky to have spent the last two years with her. It is her last semester and then she graduates and I have a semester left. It will be weird not just walking into her house or going there before the bars, I guess she will have to come visit me and crash at my house.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
