A list of the best parts about being home.

The 12 Things You Love About Being Home For The Holidays

Finals are finally over, and most of us are already home with our family and friends. We have been dreaming of coming home for weeks for a variety of reasons and thank God we finally are. Listed below are the top 13 reasons why college students love about being home for the holiday season.

1. Stocking up on nice things before your off again to living on your own "salary," aka
"allowance" for the most of us.

2. Going out with your friends from high school.

3. Being comfortable enough to drink with your family on Christmas—pass the vino.

4. Catching up on cable television—nothing worse than not knowing the drama with the "Real Housewives."

5. Bonding with the family pet after being away for months.

6. Being done with finals (until next time).

7. Forcing your mother to do your laundry.

8. Eating home-cooked (and local) food.

9. Naps.

10. Your own shower (and your own bathroom).

11. Seeing relatives you usually never get to see at family parties.

12. When your parents send you back with food.

Happy Holidays! Enjoy this special time to take advantage of these moments with your favorite people—and of the things you can't when your away at school.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
